Happy birthday Clem 1948 - Ray Clemence was born in Skegness. He arrived from Sc***horpe United for £18,000 in June 1967, usurping Tommy Lawrence as first choice number one after two years. Wilkommen Christian 2000 - Christian Ziege completed his protracted signing from Middlesbrough for £5.5m. He had spent one successful season at the Riverside, netting seven times in 34 appearances.
