    Hat-tricks all round 2002 - Michael Owen bagged a treble as we won 3-0 at Manchester City. It was our 400th Premier League match, and Steven Gerrard made his 150th reds appearance in the game. 1895 - George Allan scored four goals in our 5-1 Second Division defeat of Burslem Port Vale at Anfield, with David Hannah netting the other. He made a total of 283 appearances for the reds, scoring eleven times as he helped us to claim the Champions League, UEFA Cup, two FA Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, two League Cups and the FA Charity Shield after signing from Newcastle United for £8m in July 1999.     A-L-B-E-R-T, Albert Stubbins is the man for me 1919 - Legendary reds centre-forward Albert Stubbins was born in Wallsend. He signed from Newcasle United for a British record £12,500 fee in September 1946 and struck 83 times in 178 reds matches, helping to power us to the first League championship played after the Second World War.
