Begbie Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Despite usually thinking it's a bit of unrealistic fan daydreaming I'd start Rio in this. Don't think it will happen
PaulMcC186 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I'm looking forward to it. Mostly for the pint before it, and I'm sitting beside a mate.

Nebraska Red Posted January 26 Posted January 26 My nephew got a ticket in the lottery again. Hopefully, his 2nd Anfield game is better than his first against PSV.

stressederic Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Do we know if either Konate or Gomez are back for this? If not Cobs might have to bring his boots.

stonty Posted January 27 Posted January 27 We'll thrash them & the candle of hope will reignite. Bloody football

YugoB Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I stopped getting my hopes up for league matches, after an European performance when we beat Inter. It's clear we can't string wins and increase quality of performances. A win against this lot, doesn't change anything for me for our next match, same as the Marseille win didn't leading up to Bmouth. We haven't rectified the same issues we've had since the Community Shield. 1
stressederic Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Frankly I'm treating most of our games at the moment with the same degree of excitement as someone who has severe anaphylaxis winning a tour of the Reeses factory. 1
Boca Posted January 27 Posted January 27 “It’s for sure that at centre-back tomorrow there will not be a centre-back,” the head coach said. “I can only play a midfielder over there because there are no centre-backs available – apart from Virgil, who is one of the players I credit a lot for being fit all the time. “At his age, constantly being ready to play another 90 is something we should not take for granted.”
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 27 Posted January 27 they're all over this place this lot - they have something to play for as a defeat could see them eliminated and a win wold (very unlikely) give them a shout at top 8 Their record is 3-1-3 but it seems they went WWLDLLW they came through qualifying beating Shelbourn (4-0 agg), Shkendija (6-1 agg) & Ferencvaros (all I want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague away kit) (5-4 agg) then beat Benfica lost to Copenhagen, Bilbao, drew with Chelsea, lost to Naopli & Ajax and beat Frankfurt
