    The bit about we give Wirtz the ball in brilliant positions all the time, and he basically doesn't do much, was damning.

    They were 8th when Sturridge joined so they weren't good. We were crap last season and still came 5th.

    He was playing against a midfielder at right back too. He should be trying to skin him every time he gets the ball in a decent position.

    We were a mid table side when Sturridge joined. All them players were good in their peak. Hardly any of them were in their peak when Sturridge joined. Apart from Enrique. He was always crap.

    Were they in the away end? We shouldn't be giving celebrities who support the opposition tickets anywhere in the ground except the away end.

    I just checked and he wasn't top 5 for expected assists per 90 last season. I've never been more disappointed in a signing.

    His stats are woeful. He wasn't even in our top 3 players for expected assists last season. An out of form Gakpo and Salah created more. He's not in the top 3 this season either.

    Doku is unbelievably good at beating a full back. He seems to have better end product now too.

    I was hoping he'd want to be the main man. Hasn't shown much interest in being that so far. Early days so hopefully he grows into it. But I expect 100m footballers to not really have to grow into it.

    I don't think I've seen a Liverpool centre back basically man mark a forward like Jacquet on Haaland yesterday.

    It felt like there was absolutely nothing riding on it. Both teams just giving it a go.

    Performances have been very patchy so far. I think our best performance was probably the weird Atletico game.

    Being in the ground definitely makes it know how it was in the ground. I'm always surprised how people not in the ground talk about it. We had 2 players who cost over 100m. They shouldn't see themselves as underdogs. They should run the show.

    I thought our fans were very good considering what was happening on the pitch. It was really loud a few times. I don't want to be one of them, but I rarely agree with people's experience of the crowd when I'm at the match they watch on TV.

    He needs to do more. Had a few chances to destroy someone on the outside, but decided not to. He came inside and passed to Kerkez.

    It was his really bad first touch, and that mad stretch shot that made me think he's done. He's not even doing the basics. We'll never be able to sell him so someone needs hypnotise him, or drug him.

    I agree with that for half decent German league players. Wirtz looked amazing to every club in the world.

    I think he looks the opposite of assured. I'm shocked how much he seems to be frightened of playing for us. He used to dribble at Leverkusen. He never even tries to beat a man for us.
