Both the PL and EFL have a fit and proper owner test. I can't imagine the owners would pass either league's test if this is all upheld & I wonder if that will be used as a mechanism to force the sale of the club.

Whilst this is amusing, the more often they get sold, the more likely it is someone competent comes along and turns them into something less s***e

Depends whether the auditor has a duty of care to find out where the sponsoring company's money was ultimately sourced from From their POV, how can they tell if £50m that arrived from an Emirates company bank account was originally sourced from revenue or chucked into Emirates account by ADUG? Emirates are a massive company with revenues that make the amount look reasonably legit. Where it gets interesting is some of these dodgier looking companies - like the sham betting company mentioned pages back on here. Shouldn't they be flagging up that a company with minimal presence and revenue can't legitimately support the sums they're funnelling in via sponsorship? If that's the case then there's probably a few auditors of PL teams that have been negligent in the same way
