As far as the squad goes (yeah I know.....) TL;DR - we'll have the squad spaces to sign anyone we want but it'll be complicated in a few cases. We currently have two "association trained" players and you're allowed 4 in Europe: Frimpong and Woodman. Woodman will probably get replaced in the squad by the club-trained Jaros next year, which would give us scope to sign 3 of the players we've been linked with like Wharton/Grey/Olise/Gordon etc We currently have the limit of 17 non-home-grown players (NHG). Mo and Robbo leaving opens up 2 slots & others like Chiesa and Endo will probably leave too, opening up more. Leoni will need an NHG slot in the European squad next season but will class as U21 in the PL. He'll become a club trained player once he's 21 as he arrived here young enough. Jacquet is in the same position this season - but will be an NHG in both PL/Europe after next season. Rio needs an NHG slot in Europe this season but won't next - as he'll have been here two seasons. And yeah....

I reckon if Gordon ever comes to us then he'll have to go via another club for a year or two. Can't see Newcastle dealing with us again for a while unless there's a clause they can't ignore.
