Gethin

He was streaky that season Had long stretches where he was great and some shorter ones where he was dead average. Diaz did the same but fortunately they seemed to "agree" to do it at different times so we seemed to have someone on great form on the left all season. If he can put together a consistently good run this season, it'll be great to see.

That last sentence - we play with a ball-playing GK & he's not that, he's a shot-stopper. I'm not sure why we signed that style of goalie to potentially replace someone with a completely different sty

So with players like this that get poached to come to a club's academy, there's often a "handshake" agreement put in place for a first contract at 17 (3 years - 'cos that's the max they can get at that age) followed by a proper 4-5 year contract at 18. We just saw this with Nyoni. Thing is, there's nothing official until the player is old enough to sign the agreed contracts Reckon this kid has been tapped up by another club with better contract offers and his camp have turned round and said "match it or I'm off" It'll be all about the ££££ - the "first team football" thing is just how it's being spun.

The most impressive thing for me was how Koumas was able to keep those rapid pressing sprints going so long into the game. Was noticeable how the press went to s*** when Nyoni and McConnell went off

We go get Araujo in on loan in case Jacquet's not ready to go straight away but he's looked excellent every time he's played so far. Dare say we'll have to manage his minutes a bit later in the year, 'cos a full season at this standard will be a big ask, but can't ask for more so far.

Or gone somewhere like Spain or Italy for a couple of years. Another PL team feels well weird

A Klopp-era-style Milk Cup run with the fringe players would be a lovely thing

Ooooooooooooof

Great team play, great finish. Lovely thinking from Kerkez to make a decoy run so Cody fired the ball as far away from him as possible

That’ll be planned. 45 after a long spell out injured

Must have thought it was Kerkez

Being fit helps

Gotta love seeing some young fringe players coming in and having a right go. What the Milk Cup should be for

Koumas is a proper little pest isn't he?

Koumas did really well to get in front of the defender to get the shot off. Encouraging from him

Bit moist, like.

Who's buying at this point? 33, hardly played for two years under the last manager and a serious injury for half of last season. He'll probably head back to Japan on a free in the summer Gomez wouldn't be starting either if Leoni was futher along in his recovery.

Pretty sensible call at this stage given he's out of contract in the summer. Use this as a chance to see what the lads who are more likely to be here long term can do.

That's the crux of it isn't it? Ignoring laws, making up things they think they've seen - and there's always a justification for it. "It was wrong but didn't meet the intervention threshold", "Here's proof from a camera angle we didn't have access to when we made the decision" or even worse "Soz, we messed up, LOLz. We'll give those lads a paid weekend off"

Was on the bench at the weekend but pretty much hasn’t played in 2 years. Be stunned if he starts - needs a few months in the ressies then the second half of the season on loan to get some decent minutes in
