I said it further back in the thread but that was a full team f*** up Corner cleared by Brighton for a throw. From there it should be a set play - the big lads stay up, throw in taken to someone to cross it back into the box ASAP. Jones gets the ball from the throw and everyone in the box is standing offside leaving him with no cross. He's closed down sharpish which leads to his s***e pass that gives away possession. That's the type of thing they *should* be practising all the time. Also ties in with a few of the examples in that Clery "why are Liverpool so f***ing bad" video which shows chances and goals caused/aided by players that should be open for passes half asleep and facing away from play. It's inexcusably amateur.

Even when he did have Isak available he didn't even try to use him in the best way. There's a Clery video from when Isak joined about how he could fit in to the team - made the point that he's at his best being involved deeper, feeding his wingers and then getting into spaces to get the ball back in the box and create changes. He's not meant to be a "stand in the box and smack them in" style 9

Don't care. What's happening at the moment needs putting out of its misery, even if it means a caretaker until the summer. It's very obviously completely f***ed. It's also a lot easier to get buy-in for changing tactics when your whole squad will run through brick walls for you.

I don't hate him like I did with the one that never actually managed us. Angry that we've become a team I don't even want to watch at the moment. I could live with it more if there was some kind of a tactical plan but I've no idea what we're trying other than achieve on the pitch and it's been that way all season.
