Which is his decision. Choosing to make the point that we spent £30m on a player that he chooses not to play - even in the cups - is f***ing bafflingly odd.

He willingly agreed to fill a "head coach" role in a system where he knows he may not have final say about player purchases. That means he doesn't get to moan about those decisions without looking a bit daft.

And whilst that's true, payers of that age need to play reasonably regularly to develop, as Klopp did really well will Kweeve. There's no point paying £30m for a player that we're going to let stagnate on the bench

Neither do I - but if you're gonna have a world-class goalie who's injury prone having Kelleher on the bench to replace him was as good as it gets. I wonder how Mamardashvili will react to Ali getting an extra year? Pretty sure he was sold on the idea of him taking over as #1 next season. Hasn't proved he's up to that - but then he's hardly played

Same, but I reckon we were lucky to hold on to him as a backup for as long as we did. Definitely needed to go somewhere and play regularly

I think Mo's gone at the end of the season regardless. Of the rest, I reckon it's only Dom you shouldn't expect more from next season, 'cos he's been one of the few regularly decent performers.

I find it really hard to tell anything meaningful about the players this season 'cos of the coaching. Maybe Mo is in decline but I reckon we're gonna see a significant rebound in form with a lot of them next season.
