He didn't force anything, he just left. If you haven't signed a pro contract yet, you just move and let the clubs sort out compensation between each other (or via tribunal) afterwards. Second half I agree with. I think this talk at the moment is just posturing about his first pro contract & he's likely to stay - but I have no doubt he'll move on if he's not getting what his camp think he's worth

Think the tribunal thing is usually for players who move clubs before they're eligible for their first pro contract (like Harvey, the other lad we got from Fulham, Ngumoha when he came from Chelsea). Assesses compensation for the club that trained them, even though the player can move without their old club approving it.

Don't think he can move on a "free" until that 3 year contract has expired, although I think we may get some kind of tribunal compensation if he did that. Players in this position do have a lot of leverage though as their camp's position will be "give me that 5/6 year contract on the terms I want or I can bugger off for almost nowt in 18 months". I think we probably would have had an outline agreement for this contract even before he signed his 17yo one - however the market went nuts this summer and they may want the contract to reflect that

He's just started year 2 of the 3 year contract he signed at 17. That's the longest they can sign for at 17, he's now eligible for a full pro contract of however long he wants, so this just looks like posturing around that.

BBC currently have all 8 games listed as TBC on the Tuesday, just don't think it's been confirmed yet. We play Sunday before (Brighton) and after (Arsenal) so would be surprised if it's played on the Tuesday
