We're so much better than everyone else that we have to accept a special disadvantage What's your view on the integrity of that Troy Deeney? Purslow? Someone from Norwich?

Lockdown has definitely been getting more and more lax recently and the whole Cummings incident was only going to make it worse But yes, key few weeks coming

Deeney having a go again. He feels sorry for us as the integrity has gone even if we complete the season. As usual he does have some valid points but loses the message with drama. The integrity hasn't gone at all, it's not ideal but like most other industries football is doing the best it can under unprecedented cirumstances

But what about some stuff Maitlis may have been accused of that she hasn't done? It's time to wash our hands and move on

This is horrible viewing now..both from seeing someone struggle so much when put on the spot and for the implications that this man is in charge of our country

We're being told to "move on" a lot re Cummings by the inner circle That should do it

I actually think this second wave of anger is more directed at the very weak cover up attempt that was rolled out yesterday and being backed up (very badly) by Boris, Gove, Hancock and all They've come up with a weak and transparent back story to try to explain his trip out on his wife's birthday, which they originally tried to dismiss, and it's worse than the original "crime"

As well as absolutely taking the piss and undermining the police it's dangerous. Seeing loads of messages on social media basically saying lockdown is now over for them

Come on Pip, sort him out. Your stoic nature is frustrating, hit him with a 2 metre bat or something He does sound a nightmare, it's going to come to a head at some point, so you may as well get on with it and hope it fixes things
  10. No one in the world thinks Pogba is better than Gerrard. That's impossible

I might be doing him an injustice but I can't help but make the link between Watford's league position and safety if the season was cancelled and him being their captain

Time for the bottom 6 to be quickly recalculating their narratives based on the season not being voided...

Why is that out of interest? Not doubting it but just something I've never looked into...and it's annoying

You can't compare between countries...and to prove it the deaths/country slide has been removed from the daily briefing

Why isn't this being picked up and reported on? It's so self serving "Karen Brady, of relegation threatened West Ham doesn't believe teams should be relegated for some reasons. Meanwhile, the Brighton chairman (who's team faces the threat of relegation, is also against restarting the season...and supportive of barriers which may prevent teams getting relegated. Some guy from Norwich, who are threatened with relegation, has an entirely different reason why teams shouldn't be relegated....something to do with Championships clubs not playing games. Finally, the clown from relegation threatened Villa who used to have a role at Liverpool, doesn't feel his team should face relegation for some of the aforementioned reasons"

Yes I agree with this. I've gone down the route of work hard and allow myself to retire early. But not sure how satisfying a choice that will ultimately be

Feels like our place (who were very much of a 1 day a week WFH culture) have given up on a return to old style working, reluctantly in some cases. It's hard for them to take a position otherwise given how effective WFH has been since lockdown Big knock on impacts re this as some have mentioned. If London opens up to more people WFH it also shifts the competitive dynamic for jobs, more people are going to be interested if they don't have to physically work in London.
  18. My main memories are being relaxed going into it, thinking it was over. Then getting more and more stressed we kept getting closer. Until we got the 4th, then got all bullish for 5 mins about how we unbeatable Then just spent the rest of the game in a semi coma It was amazing

It's getting more worrying the longer it drags on. And agree that the PL need to bring some clarity around what will happen with relegation and European places.

There should be 2 options. Play behind closed doors to try to help prepare for next season as well as possible and accept that this isn't perfect for anyone Or finish the season when save ro do so and suspend next season indefinitely, accepting the financial risks that come with it This puts sporting merit to the top of the agenda and takes away the attempts to try to Spurs your way out of the situation and use the disruption to your own advantage
  23. It would be irresponsible to spend big money this summer unless there's a clear path to a return to normal football. It's going to be interesting. I can see pretty much any players out of contract being released and struggling to get new clubs unless they accept a league drop in wages
  24. Yeah agree, I don't think we sign anyone
  25. Our budget will also be lower. So spending on a 29 year old CB is a particularly crazy shout
