I have a mate who supports Bristol City who said to me 'i don't care if we finish 91st of the football league clubs as long as (Bristol) Rovers are 92nd' which is kinda the same thing but given their respective positions in the football world their paths rarely cross these days. That Everton are the only club of the 92 not to win any trophy/promotion this century it's not a great surprise to see them like this. They don't have a fan under the age of 30 who's ever seen them win a thing. Probably none under 35 that can remember their last trophy lift. That's gotta eat at you. Add to that their elders have spent those 3+ decades telling them it's all Liverpool's fault their club are completely s*** and well... this is where it leads.

well, the 'smallest possible' is obviously much smaller than that but they will either be hit (a) with a points deduction sufficient to relegate them or (b) they'll be expelled from the league. If it's (a) i would expect further points deductions to be given to the seasons that follow to prevent an immediate return. If it's (b) then assuming the Football League accepts them they'd be starting from League 2. For me - their trophies have to be taken from them. I think it would be ludicrous to allow them to keep trophies won post 2018 too. There is no respect from the football community outside of the Etihad for anything they've won since 2008 anyway, so you might as well make it official. Doesn't feel like there's any appetite for giving trophies to others who missed out due to their cheating - it's a shame but i do get that. The moment has been robbed. Then it is for the new Football regulator to show their worth and enorce the sale of the club. There are issues to be overcome here with timescales, revenues generated to the club by the sale of current players and what is to be allowed in terms of spend to replace them. A complete transfer ban isn't going to work if you want the club to continue to exist. A proper multi-league relegation/expulsion will result in players leaving - whether they can rip up their contracts due to breach of good faith and leave for free, or whether those players signed in the summer have something more specific in their contracts remains to be seen. Then there is a question of what UEFA, the Police and HMRC do with the club. Finally you have legal action by other clubs and maybe players who lost income due to their cheating.

yesterday - with the players we had out - was a proper chance for him to step forward, puff his chest out and try and run the show but it was all a bit lightweight. The tackle he bottled was annoying - as was the shot he took when Kerkez had made a great run, untracked into the box - that little defense opening pass there was what i was hoping we were gonna get from him. He did do one very good 1-2 with someone, excellently weighted but gotta have more than that from him. Dunno what Iraola has in his locker to jolt him/cajole him/pin him up against he wall and threaten him. Do we know when Dom/Gakkers and Isak are back btw ?

Expunge ALL their trophies since the current ownership began you don’t need to look at what they’ve done since 2018 when you’ve proven what they did prior. Post 2018 clearly and obviously doesn’t happen without pre-2018 behaviour. So it is irrelevant how they behaved from then. They need to be kicked out of the league. Trophies removed. Sale of the club enforced. You can’t punish them more than that whatever they did post 2018. They’ve not cooperated within anything to date and they’re not going to co-operate with any new investigations on post 2018 accounting. So why bother?

doesn't need investigating, they've cheated for 10+ years already. Just expunge all their records/trophies from the books. whether they've played fair since that point or not is irrelevant
