We are in contact with Adam Wharton's camp.

Would be a brilliant signing, think he is extremely talented and would suit Slots style of play. We’d have incredible options in CM adding him.

I think this summer will be carnage. The big boys will all spend a fortune and there’ll be loads of battles for the same players.

Hopefully we’ve got about 8 ballers running down their contracts all ready to sign on the dotted line come June. I hate what Madrid did with Trent and yes I’m a hypocrite

Three max for the senior squad and a few youngsters

My guess is only 2, a striker to replace Darwin and Huijsen.

According to Sky Sports Chris Bascome, the best informed LFC journo in the MSM, claimed in this mornings Telegraph we will not buy a replacement for Trent but will settle for promoting Bradley.

There's been a lot of negative comments on various LFC sites regarding the fee Bournemouth want for Kerkez. The rumoured £40M would be our second highest fee for a defender after Virgil and is being discounted as too expensive for a full back. I've no idea if this is one sites opinion being replicated by others or leaks from club sources, but it's a frequent comment.

Las Palmas beat Athletico Madrid 1 – 0 two weeks ago with Bajcetic giving a MOTM performance, apparently he dominated the midfield. Young Steph has performed well in Spain and I suspect and hope he becomes a full member of our first team squad next season.

I suspect we will pay large fees for Huijsen and a striker, spending the money on quality not quantity. Buying 5 or more new players for a team that's just won the title by some distance seems bonkers to me.

Not a chance we don't bring a left back in.

He also said Ward will compete with Karius and we won't buy Alisson

If he can't afford a house as a professional footballer, I'd avoid him.

Bascombe never breaks anything anymore does he.

Wouldn’t stun me if he’s right about a Trent replacement mind. Bradley as first choice and take a risk with Gomez or Quansah as backup. Big risk, mind.

Very big indeed.

Maybe when they said we were going big this summer they meant Huijsen. He’s massive right?

Huijsen For CB cover.
Endo for everything else and Danns up top.
Job done.

Yeah, I'm not expecting a right back. Gomez, Quansah, Endo or even Jones again can play there when Bradley isn't playing. Not ideal, but I think we have higher priorities.

Bradley played pretty much the whole season with Bolton without getting any injuries, so hopefully he's just had an unlucky year and isn't made of glass.

Remember that kid who started camping outside his parents house for charity during lockdown. Well he's still out there now, aged 21, and he's also earning rave reviews for his performances as a commanding midfielder for Crystal Palace.

Didn't Bascombe just last week say we were going to spend massive amounts this summer.

He did.

Bascombe hasn't been reliable since he left the Echo

I’m happy with Bradley first choice RB but because he’s had a few injuries in his career so far, I’d prefer a backup who wasn’t massively injury prone in Gomez. And who could play attacking RB.

We need another option there, I don’t ever want to see Endo, Jones or Quanssh at RB they are not backups they are stop gaps. We struggled badly with both Bradley and TAA out - we rely on our full backs to play our game.

Agreed. Although Slot does seem to value players who can play in multiple positions - which is why the Frimpong thing makes sense
