Are we in agreement that we’d rather miss out on CL football than keep this gobs***e? It isn’t just that he is an imbecile; it’s that he’s a thoroughly dislikable one.

I’m conflicted. We have no chance of winning the Champions League but is 5th and Champions League football enough to keep the fraud in his job? I’d rather be out of it if he’s going to stay.

This season is probably our worst performance from a Liverpool manager since the 1950s. I prefer Hodgson.

I was half tempted to sack off going to the final game of the season to a mate but no more. The legend deserves a greater ovation than we could possibly give. A shame to lose him on a free but he hasn’t performed as a player on 400k a week this season. We could probably have squeezed a decent fee to Saudi but he could just dig in for the last year.

Everything about this fella is anti-Klopp. I have absolutely no passion for any of it whilst he’s in charge. He could have gone months ago with some remaining dignity and well wishes and yet he’ll end up marginally more popular than Roy Hodgson. By a whisker. More convinced than ever that his league win was an utter fluke. A once in a million years aligning of stars.

He’s an absolute shambles. There is no way back for him. At this point I think you could swap him out for any manager in the top two (possibly) three weeks and none of them would look any worse. How the hell he’s looked at PSG last year as a blueprint and come up with this is anyone’s guess.

You’d need a really solid base like we had with Scales, Babb and Ruddock. And of course complemented by the inarguable attacking quality of a Bjornebye and a McAteer. Just off to shudder in a manner befitting of the mid nineties.
