  1. We are s*** but it is quite funny that we’ve beaten Arsenal, Real, Atleti and Inter this season.
  2. When Ancelotti was at Bayern, the players would run extra training sessions themselves because of the lack of intensity. Must be quite a change up for some of these lads at Real.
  3. He’s one of our best ever players but he should have just kept his mouth shut. Not a good look for anyone.
  4. Steer a million miles clear of Gerrard, even on an interim deal. I can well imagine a scenario in which we grab top four with him and there are calls to make it permanent, even though the body of evidence is that he’s a terrible manager. We’ll be stuck in a Man Utd death spiral.
  5. Graeme says hello.
  6. There’s something about a club legend midfielder who managed Rangers successfully that tells me Gerrard could only succeed here.
  7. Put yourself in Real’s position. Even if they succumbed to player pressure and wanted to sack him, you wouldn’t would you. Either pay him off or wait us to come with compensation.
  8. Gone from winning games by small margins to losing by small margins to losing by big margins. If there was any sign he knew what to do he’d have earned time.
  9. What he’s done with this side is miraculous. As unlikely as coming back from 3-0 down to beat Milan. To be this bad f***ing hell. Has there ever been such a collapse?
  10. He can’t turn it around. If he goes soon at least it’ll be with well wishes and a collective sadness that it hasn’t worked out. If he clings on that will only change for the worse.
  11. I haven’t been on Twitter in months and stay off the other socials. Has there been any indication the players are fed up because they play like they can’t wait for him to leave. Any rumours from Ornstein or Joyce his job is on the line. A P.E teacher would be getting a better tune out of this squad.
  12. Sorry Arne. I think it’s time to go now.
  13. I genuinely think there is a lot to be said for their having been a brief balance between what Jurgen’s side was and the calmer more measured football Slot tried to implement. As the season progressed it tipped more towards Slot football and what we had before has now entirely gone. We are fully there now, with loads of new players to boot. The fella is a hell of a salesman though. To convince Wirtz to come here over Bayern based on a presentation looks like witchcraft.
  14. He’ll be Ajax manager before the end of the season.
  15. He’s in proper lame duck territory now. Can’t bring myself to get too mad. I don’t think i’ve ever been as indifferent to results as the last couple. He won the league and has a place in our history. The board probably need to start taking a good look at fellas to replace him though.
  16. I think on the balance of probabilities it’s looking like a manager failing to get the best out of good players rather than rubbish players letting down a good manager. A few too many lacklustre performances to think the other way. I don’t think he can go on for much longer at a less than a point a game but I don’t want him binned off quite yet. The fellas in charge won’t be anywhere near I wouldn’t think.
  17. The goal for this season needs to be Champions League, whilst really getting to know which of these players are going to make the grade. That still goes for the Manager too I wasn’t arsed yesterday when Arsenal conceded because the title is none of our business this year.
  18. Really can’t wait for Konate to leave. It’ll feel like a kick in the b******s if he stays.
  19. Is it possible to edit posts for the month of October?
  20. It is very hard to look at us and see any green shoots. There isn’t a real style of play or anything to build upon at the minute. And from what we know about him it looks as if whatever tactic is in his head is looking like yesterday’s news at 0.75 speed. I saw us lift the league at Anfield with my son just a few months ago and that’ll do me for some time. Dropping out of the Champions League is the real fear. Doing as Bill Shankly did in going from 1st to 7th to 1st doesn’t seem possible these days with the financial ramifications.
  21. I’m not braying for it but I just wouldn’t really care a great deal. I wouldn’t be sacking him if it was my decision but it has to show significant improvement by Christmas.
  22. Very much at the point where I don’t actually expect him to turn it around and wouldn’t really care particularly if we binned him off. The next three will be telling.
