Kerkez looked much better. Wirtz had a poor first half but looked a lot better in the second. Dom one of those players that wins leagues with his versatility. -

Just a bitty game isn’t it. Wirtz hasn’t been what I was expecting these first few games. I really thought he’d hit the ground running. Needs a big moment. -
Doesn’t make much sense selling him does it? He’s a proper crock no doubt but that makes him handy to come in and out of the side here and there. Bradley will end up inevitably injured when Salah is away at Afcon, when Frimpong should have been available to cover him.

Good morning Mr Arobieke.
-
It’s with Evri, who also have Duncan Oldham’s book for you.
-
I was on disbelief last season when a few rival fans had him as better than Saliba. The difference between his best and worst performances, on quite a regular basis, is way bigger than it should be.
-
I had a post typed about an hour before yours about him dismantling a Corby Trouser Press in a Travel Tavern. I didn’t pull the trigger on it. Partridge references should be the norm.
-
I want the tried and tested three in midfield with Wirtz playing from the left side up front. Robbo to come in for Kerkez. Let Milos work it out away from the biggest title rivals.

Why are we debating whether or not we should have kept Nunez? The one to keep was Diaz. I’d rather have dialysis than Darwin Nunez.
-
I can’t think of another available top class forward/winger who would really fit us. We got the only really good one with Ekitike. It looks like Isak or nothing now which makes selling Diaz truly absurd. Putting the season at risk, based on the whims of whatever maniacal despot is holding the reins at Newcastle, is odd behaviour for a club as risk averse as us.
-
We’ve got a really good eleven but the squad isn’t good enough. I don’t think it can compete on the two fronts we hoped. It helps if Guehi arrives but it’s probably light of a midfielder who can play in a similar way to Gravenberch. Before we get to forwards. Diaz just shouldn’t have been sold. All sense has gone out the window at Newcastle and it’s not clear we’ve prepared for it.

£130m seems like the fair price and is at about the level I’ve expected us to end up at, if most of it is guaranteed or easily triggered. To get closer to the £150m they’ll really have to be relying on the Balon D’or and European Cup wins.

We could split any loan fee for Rodrygo with Lancashire Cricket Club. I’ve had a look at him on google images and there is absolutely no way he isn’t an accomplished spin bowler.

There were a load of Brits recently prosecuted for encouraging and paying for people in south east Asia to torture and kill infant monkeys. There is no shortage of sociopaths out there.
-
We very much look like we’ll be a better team with a poorer squad. It’s looking like we should have kept Diaz and sanctioned a sale only when it was certain one on the list was coming in. How like us is it to have an all time window and end up weaker. Fingers crossed they know what they are doing.

This summer has been incredible. The absolute hypocrisy across the board has been something to behold. Trent leaves and the ex-pros and pundits are out in force. You got him for nothing. He won you titles. Meanwhile we are pissed off that a local lad didn’t get us a proper fee. I can’t stand the d****ead now. How dare he? The same pundits are now out in force bemoaning lack of loyalty. Saudi are out there unsettling Wissa. And Gordon before him. And even their own manager made a controversial move of his own. How dare they. Delicious. Loads of ours suggesting we bench Konate in a world cup year (me included by the way) to send a message about not running his deal down. Newcastle supporters suggesting they hold the line against a player that is on strike. Don’t play him and let him rot. Send that message that we aren’t to be trifled with. Make a stand. Now we are out here saying that would be self sabotage. We talk about lads leaving us and being ‘just a player’ elsewhere and the Newcastle fans did plenty of that. Here you could be a legend son. We are all of us man babies. The only things to take out of it is that most footballers are self serving individuals just passing through. Our club is special though. We want the good ones to stick around and the s*** ones to f*** off at the first opportunity. The footballing food chain should never apply to your own club.

Can we loan Nunez back?
