My head will f***ing explode in a minute. All players are open to criticism. Rushie had weaknesses to his game, as did Dalglish, as did Barnes, as did Clemence. As long as someone is similarly forward about strengths then I do not see a problem in discussing on a forum or in the pub the parts of a players game that need work. There were people trying to say the same thing in the Finnan thread. On here a player is either s*** or world class depending on his performance that week. I'm not accusing the cliqued, daisy chained ex-koptalkers of that but that's the general gist of this forum half the time. Kewell's s*** Kewell's ace Kewell's s*** Kewell's ace. Blah f***ing blah. Do I have to give a ....... after each of my sentences in order to be taken seriously .......

You're right Leo, I was critical of Reina numerous times before he signed/when he looked like he was going to at the back end of last season. I don't really know why you're asking me to admit I'm wrong. I've praised him much more that I've criticised him in this thread. Therefore I am admitting that he has been fantastic for us. But I don't admit I'm wrong in the sense that my criticisms of him last season were exactly the same ones that I have now. I was unimpressed with his fumbling of crosses then and I have the same opinion. Leo, you're probably one of the most objective posters on these boards. You appear to know your stuff and back up your opinions. With that in mind surely you can acknowledge that if there is one area of Reina's game that needs work then it's the handling of balls crossed into the box? All I'm looking for one here is someone to admit he has that weakness to his game.

No one denies that he is a top keeper with some tremendous attributes. His shot stopping is excellent, he's quick off his line etc. His positioning is superb and his ability to make a save after 60 minutes of doing f*** all is top class. No doubt that he is a major part of why we're not conceding. But at the same time surely some on here must admit that his gathering of crosses is poor in comparison to the rest of his game. And that stops him being in the topmost bracket of goalkeepers. If he can sort that out then we've got someone in the Buffon/Cech mould, but until that time he's on the second rung of the ladder (just after the best 5/6 which is no insult). Now I think that's a fair comment. The Steve Finnan debate on here was just as laughable. Very few on here have the ability to look at a player objectively.

Yeah he started the game but was subbed at half time I think.

Theo Walcott infothread
Rusty Shackleford replied to Ragnor the Horn 's topic in General Football Discussion
It would be a perfect move for him despite how disappointed I'd be. He has the pace, skill and crossing ability to be a top right winger for us. He's also score goals from that position too. He'll get to play with Henry and within a style of football perfectly suited to his game. He wouldn't have to move away from his parents or mates etc. Gutted if he goes there but best of luck to him if he does. -

Let's hope it's in pounds then! -
On one hand a terrifically strong, tough tackling player with a great engine the like I don't think I've ever seen. Great at making a nuisance of himself and breaking up attacks. His presence in the team has helped us in many a game this season. On the other hand his passing is as bad as any midfielder I've seen us have in fifteen years of watching us and his touch is down there with Cisse's. I also fear for us in a scrappy game where he's likely to get himself booked and sent off. He's also a diving little t***. I'm fed up of him going down like he's been napalmed when he get's clipped. He may be similar to Vieira in terms of builld and in a defensive sense, but he will never ever be as talented as him. He is not comfortable in possession and unfortunately that is something you have from and early age and don't think it can be picked up. Sure you can improve, but not to the extent it requires for him to be on a par with Vieira. I don't think I've ever flip flopped on an opinion of a player so much as I do with Sissoko. On one hand Alan Green is saying he's a great player, the next Journo's are reporting he's the worst player to play for Liverpool in years! I don't think we've had a player who divides the media to that extent either.

Bar the first 20 minutes that has been a pretty poor half from us. Well in Crouchie, calm head when all about you (in blue) were losing theirs. Gerrard with a lampardtastic deflected goal. We've been woeful in the air so far and looking increasingly likely to concede. I'm a little pissed off that at 2-0 we completely took our foot off the gas and let them back into the game. Come on lads, get a 3rd and end this madness.

Have we had a 'how f*cking good are we ?' thread..
Rusty Shackleford replied to David Hodgson's topic in Liverpool FC
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still don't have a true goalscorer, right midfielder or an accomplished left back. I am amazed that both results and performances have improved so dramatically. Benitez can truly be thanked for that. We are playing with almost the same outfield ten players we had last year and getting vastly superior results. Therefore the significant improvement is down to tactics and the way Rafa has the players believing in themselves. What we do have is an excellent keeper bar one or two errors, a tremendous centre back pairing, the best right back in the country, two world class central midfielders and a tremendously exciting young player in Sissoko, and a bloody handful of a striker upfront who brings other players into the game like few other strikers in the league. I just curse the poor start we had to our league season. Had we been even six points better off we would have a real shot at our 19th. -
Where can I get a load of these to hand out to fellow Reds? Saw a load of them out in Turkey with a lot of different people handing them out. Want to help raise awareness. Willing to pay for them etc, just don't know if they are sold in the Shop?

Surely it has to have Hillsborough Justice Campaign on it? Aswell as raising funds for the HJC surely it should serve to attract the attention of others and get them askign questions. No-one would ask about a T shirt with just that logo on it.
