Alec Douglas-Home

He resigned his peerage and for four weeks was neither. Then he won a safe seat as they sacrificed the sitting MP.

Still, on the bright side that won't happen now 'cos such a thing doesn't exist.

Alec Douglas home. PM after McMillan.

Do you think the f*ckpig Cameron is there for the medium-to-long term? I'd assumed that he was only there to prevent Sunak having to place someone else in the job?

Also interesting that the Rory Stewart seemed pretty sure that William Hague will have been offered the job before Cameron.

Yes.

And seemingly Lord Carrington (1979-82) was the last Foreign Secretary who was in the House of Lords.

Yeah you may well be right - following in Lord Carrington's footsteps seemingly

Probably the last cabinet minister to resign on a matter of “honour” viz: the Falklands/Malvinas were invaded on his watch.

Labour got it spot on immediately (for a change) when he was announced. They are trying to show a new broom attitude /softer side by bringing back the architect of austerity and the man responsible for Farage and Johnson's Brexit Sh1tshow., it is an absolutely wide open goal, Sunak has lost the plot.

Didn't hear Rory Stewart but he's a f*cking weirdo.

Braverman hits back.

She basically says Sunak went back on a number of promises she sought in order to give her support to him in his leadership bid.

A quick glance at those just sums up what an awful person she is (and was before the latest appalling viewpoints on the Palestine crisis):-

Cutting legal migration

Not watering down key pieces of Brexit legislation

Publishing statutory guidance to schools to protect biological sex.
