Biggest match of the season and imho one we need to win.

Hendo has to start for me, with Fabinho and Keita the other too.

 

Was surprised it was keita coming off instead of Gini last night. I thought Gini needed way too many touches and time on the ball to be any use. We had nothing from midfield other than hendo's incisive passing from deeper once keita went off.

The team need to be watching the PSG game from the other week and watch how they managed to stifle Pogba all match, leading to him getting frustrated and them being nowhere near as effective as they can be.

 

Alisson needs to cut out the pissing about at the back. Hopefully VVD will sort that out.

 

We need to be prepared for snidey crap from them, especially Herrera and Smalling. Smalling will likely be marking VVD on set pieces and will be getting handfuls of shirt in the process like he did with Luiz.

 

We really need to win this game. The boys up front need to be switching about and confusing the s*** out of them.

Just don't retreat in to our shell like we normally do at their place. Take the game to them and show we are the better side. A win here would be monumental.

Matip will struggle if Rashford and Martial are both playing.

 

Need to assume Lingard will be playing too as worst case scenario as Solskjaer has managed to get him being effective in their system

I get the feeling this will be a reversal of usual roles, we might go there with the intention of not losing while they've got nothing to lose.

Matip would be a greater liability against Lukaku; doesn’t cope consistently with the aerial stuff

 

I expect they’ll attempt to replicate the tactics used against Spurs, where they utilised Pogba in an Alonso style role and quickly hit the space in behind their fullbacks

 

Utd favour their left side so I imagine we’ll have Fabinho and Hendo as two 6s, Gini as the spare man to harass Pogba

Yeah, anything else would weaken us.

 

It's not a midfield we often see. Essentially you're asking Hendo to play slightly left, which isn't gonna get the best out of him

 

Not sure what the solution is like, but if Hendo and Fab play together it's usually been the 4231
