  1. Took the dog out for a walk before I thrashed the living room. We really handed it to them today. They had a makeshift back 4 that we should have been carving open on the counter. Maybe the positive out of this will be that the team will want to make a statement in the next few games. Also less games than City is good at this stage.
  2. Before I was born, but the 3-0 vs Newcastle is always mentioned as a complete performance with Newcastle getting schooled. I remember finals from 1982ish onwards. My first memories of a Liverpool game is Whelan scoring vs Spurs in the Lge Cup final. Nearly all the finals I've seen have been memorable but none have been a total domination by us in hindsight. Even Sunderland in 1992 was 0-0 at HT with them giving us a couple of scares. Probably the 2-0 vs Spurs in Madrid was more of a controlled performance from start to finish thanks to the early goal. Favourites? Istanbul (I was there). The Owen final too, with my Dad being an Arsenal fan and finally getting some payback for 1989.
  3. Endo in crutches and left leg in a brace.......
  4. Kelleher Bradley Konate Virgil Robertson Gravenberch Endo Macca Elliot Gakpo Diaz Hopefully we can have Salah, Nunez and Szoboszlai on the bench.
  5. I was delivering a presentation at work on Friday when a guy sat in front flashed his mobile at the guy sat next to him and I asked what happened. He showed me the headline and I thought it was the class playing a joke on me. Needless to say I was stunned. Today I found out that my 13yr old son found out during his P.E. lesson at school and didn't feel up to carrying on with the lesson and sat it out. He was shattered. Reminded me of my reaction, aged 15, when Kenny quit in 1991.
  6. Fulham had eliminated them from the Europa Lge in 09/10 with a great comeback.
  7. Loved quite a few of his films. RIP Tom.
  8. Have a feeling it will be closer than many expect. Important we score first.

    Joe Gomez

Yeah, but I mean player who was in the first-team squad at the time.

    Joe Gomez

Hard to believe he is the only player at the club who was here before Jurgen joined.
  11. I still think he can play an important part in our season.

  13. Pity to lose out, but we move on. In the end we only want players who want to play for us to join. Lavia and 1-2 others would be great now.
  14. BREAKING: Moisés Caicedo to Chelsea, here we go! Agreement reached and sealed right now — it’s gonna British record transfer fee #CFC £115m fee plus sell-on clause included for Brighton. Medical tests, booked. Caicedo will sign until June 2031 with option until 2032.
  15. Having him available to play is something they'd surely look to gain for that price.......
  16. There must clearly be issues with Chelsea's bid, unless there is an agreement to make a statement announcing Caicedo just before the game. I am no lawyer, but I think from one bid to another all that is changing is the fee and the payment structure, so it is not as if they're writing War And Peace in one day..........
  17. One thing I've learnt over the past couple of days is that imminent is not soon........
  18. Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 14m Replying to @MelissaReddy_ Overriding sense that Chelsea will do what is necessary to get Caicedo, who has been their priority target. How Liverpool would progress in that instance, given the Romeo Lavia situation and with time running out, will be fascinating.
  19. Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 6m Until Chelsea make a formal British record offer that Brighton accept for Moises Caicedo, not much has significantly changed. As one source put it "more tweets about what they'll do than what they actually have." CFC have known what Liverpool's bid & structure is since Thursday. 266 811 3,136 140.1K Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 5m Strong suggestions Chelsea hoped Liverpool would withdraw their bid and walk away on Friday allowing them to negotiate a more favourable fee and structure with Brighton, which didn’t happen. Next developments very interesting in light of FFP/Premier League P&S rules 76 409 1,339 80.3K Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 2m Chelsea have always been favourites for Caicedo. Long before the auction, during it, after it. And the preferred destination (despite LFC having assurances + encouragement from his reps). CFC don’t have the agreement with Brighton, which is critical - they need to get a rush on.
  20. Maddock (cannot find his tweets though) is quoted as saying we are still in for both Caicedo and Lavia, with Thuram and Gravenberch also on our radar. The anti-Fabrizio
  21. Has there been any indication as to what Chelsea's best bid for Caicedo has been so far?
  22. I think this is gamesmanship for Chelsea as the likes of Doyle are stating. They cannot afford both and are hoping that Liverpool opt for the player who really wants to join us whilst they then negotiate for the one who told them he had wanted to join them ahead of us showing interest.
  23. My son messaged me earlier to tell me that Latvia was absent from training. Good to see we're signing an entire country now.
