  1. Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 6m Until Chelsea make a formal British record offer that Brighton accept for Moises Caicedo, not much has significantly changed. As one source put it "more tweets about what they'll do than what they actually have." CFC have known what Liverpool's bid & structure is since Thursday. 266 811 3,136 140.1K Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 5m Strong suggestions Chelsea hoped Liverpool would withdraw their bid and walk away on Friday allowing them to negotiate a more favourable fee and structure with Brighton, which didn’t happen. Next developments very interesting in light of FFP/Premier League P&S rules 76 409 1,339 80.3K Melissa Reddy @MelissaReddy_ · 2m Chelsea have always been favourites for Caicedo. Long before the auction, during it, after it. And the preferred destination (despite LFC having assurances + encouragement from his reps). CFC don’t have the agreement with Brighton, which is critical - they need to get a rush on.
  2. Maddock (cannot find his tweets though) is quoted as saying we are still in for both Caicedo and Lavia, with Thuram and Gravenberch also on our radar. The anti-Fabrizio
  3. Has there been any indication as to what Chelsea's best bid for Caicedo has been so far?
  4. I think this is gamesmanship for Chelsea as the likes of Doyle are stating. They cannot afford both and are hoping that Liverpool opt for the player who really wants to join us whilst they then negotiate for the one who told them he had wanted to join them ahead of us showing interest.
  5. My son messaged me earlier to tell me that Latvia was absent from training. Good to see we're signing an entire country now.
  6. Well he can be a Doric presence in the middle, holding things together.
  7. Romano saying that negotiations are ongoing.
  8. Andre wants to join and available for 25m apparently.
  9. Solid performance. Nothing wow but a professional job done. That is what good teams do.
  10. Tarantini wore the no.2 and then the no.6 shirt for Birmingham. A total of hateful 8.
  11. Quite a pay paquet for him
  12. I still think that once we get over the injury crisis, we will match any team. The question is how many points we will drop before that happens. Tomorrow is a game we must win and which we should win unless something out of the ordinary happens. The WC break may work in our favour this season.
  13. Just noticed that he is right-handed!
  14. Klopp: “He has all the pieces we look for. He can set a tempo, he brings energy, he can threaten space from central and wide areas. He is aggressive and dynamic with his movement. He plays without fear, he’s powerful. I know he will excite our supporters."
  15. 7pm UK time it seems.
  16. Announcement imminent it seems.
  17. We'd probably be better with a midfield trio of: Hendo Molby Tokyo Sexwale
  18. Klopp said all the rest are good for the final. I'd expect Hendo-Fab-Keita to start if Thiago is out.
  19. Statement on official site is that a scan is planned and that it is lower body. Klopp did not say much more.
  20. 92pts is a massive achievement. The sad part is losing leagues when you get such tallies. Such fine margins and it may be my bias but we rarely got lucky with any decisions. For me two games stand out........West Ham away for us with them taking the lead with a clear foul on Ali and Everton away for them with that handball not given. 3pt swing ..... Oh well. Still an amazing season and let's hope to top it off with Big Ears! This team deserve it.
  21. 1-0 is always a risk but it was never looking like Newcastle might score.
  22. Most comfortable 1-0 in a long time......if a 1-0 is every comfortable. Felt like we contained them well and did not expend too much energy. Excellent game management. Special mention for Gomez, Naby and Milner who came in and never let the level drop.
  23. Shaw, Fred and McTominay out for them. Not sure whether it is good news or bad news, but they have squad depth issues. Cavani injured too, whilst Greenwood still not an option. We are much better but we would still beat them from time to time when they were at their best. Strange fixture.
  24. Like he did against Palace and Atleti?
