Special mention must be given to Pepe not just because he made some crucial saves early in the game but because today he has broken a 30 year record.

 

Reina has beaten Clemence's record in reaching 100 clean sheets. Clemence took 200 games to achieve this feat whereas Pepe has done it in 197 games. Congrats to Pepe, what a goalkeeper!

Is there a keeper in the world who has better distribution or is quicker off the blocks than Pepe? Brilliant buy, was he always this good for villarreal? He was clearly looking at Riera's run and picked out his long kick perfectly to coincide with it, almost put Alonso's long passing to shame.
