Really up for tonight, I can't stand Madrid.

They must be the most arrogant club on the face of the planet; winds me up they base elections for president on which players they are going to bring in, even though those players are under contract to other clubs (although Barca are guilty of this too).

There's no loyalty or honour, sacking managers like Del Bosque, an incredibly loyal servant to the club at the drop of a hat. As soon as anything goes wrong on the pitch the white hankies are out, no patience from the fans.

And of course there's the fact that they are basically bank rolled by the Government. Every time they buy their way into the sh*t there's a convenient cash injection to put them back into the black again.

They probably think they're going to stuff us tonight. Lets make Anfield a cauldron, press and harry the likes of that little gimp Robben to every corner of the pitch and send them back to Spain with their tails between their legs.

Been waiting for a crack at this lot at Anfield for years, just hope we can press home the advantage we gained over there. We need to create one of those famous European nights and make them crumble in the first half hour.

There can't be any complacency.

Over the past 10 seasons they have had 7 managers, but they have won 4 league titles, 3 european cups and 2 spanish cups in that period

maybe they know what they are doing after all!

I thought the same, but there was a quote from Cannavaro the other night, talking about how hey don't have players like Messi or Ronaldo, so they would have to work hard as a team, make no mistakes at the back, be patient, and hope to get their goal when Liverpool are on the attack.

It could well be the humblest thing a Real player has ever said.

I feel exactly the same about every league game we play. I want us to play this way against everyone at Anfield.

Cannavaro seems a decent sort. Its those in charge that are gobsh*tes really

That business with trying to register two more players summed the cheeky c*nts up

absolutely, it's the owners and admin side who are the problem. they've had plenty of class players both on and off the pitch.

We owe them for doing a deal with Owen behind our backs too. Hate them f*****s myself, hope we do them right.

hang on, i thought it was accepted wisdom that we were happy to see the back of the selfish, cash-hungry welsh dwarf?

Its not like we have never done that, plus they have no loyalty toward us in that situation, Owen on the other hand...

Hate the club but I have always loved Raul. (but if the c*** scores against us tonight its all gonna end)

Then I read something in the paper this morning with him saying we were just long-ball merchants...

I don't know whether they genuinely believe they were the only side trying to play football in the first leg, or if they just have to say it to keep the fans happy.

Cannavaro is an utter c*nt. A gobsh*te of the highest order.

Quoted today saying we didn't put even try to win the first leg. And yet we won, Fabio. Yes, it was effortless. You greasy c*ckhead.

Cannavaro actually said if they are patient and don't make mistakes, a goal will "surely come".

Aye, cos you give us an attacking masterclass last time Fabio.

Great player but a sneaky git.

I remember 9 or so years ago when they were heavily in debt, and were selling their city centre training fascility - the city of Madrid re-zoned the area (so that it's value was increased) and paid Real almost 500 million euros for it (which I think was believed to be about double what the land was actually worth). This hand-out enabled Real to get rid of their debts AND spend millions on players like Zidane and Ronaldo. Disgusting. I bet Atletico fans were delighted.

That was only after he joined Newcastle. Before that it was all Madrid's fault

That was exactly what I was thinking of - imagine our city council did that for Everton with our taxes...
