He did indeed, and I did think of that. I remember at the time we had the smallest team ever seen finishing the game, with Newcastle absolutely bullying us. I'm not sure if it was smart thinking or if he'd given up. Either way, it was going to work sometimes, but by and large his last 10 minutes when we were often chasing in games were just carnage with no sense of any structure. That's why I liked yesterday, felt more like tweaks, with just a bit more energy and the same structure.

I'm clutching at straws here, but I think yesterday Slot would have taken a centre back off last 5 or 10 yesterday, we'd be unrecognisable up front and we would have lost 3-1. At least Iraola kept the basis and structure of a team. Added some energy with the subs in the right places.
