Still waiting for RH to wake in the night, sit bolt upright & say 'f*** me I must play Agger'

Still waiting for RH to wake in the night, role over slowly to one side like a fatty stuck in a soft sofa in DFS & say 'f*** me I must play proper football' while bearing a face resembling Fr Dougall Maguire

In a post-match news conference at the Amsterdam Arena, Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk suggested that Kuyt's injury, sustained when he landed awkwardly after jumping for a ball with Sweden's Daniel Majstorovic, could sideline the forward for some time.

"Dirk wanted to play on but our doctor prevented that and told me to substitute him," Van Marwijk said.

"He is now in a hospital but following the doctor's first opinion it could be very serious and keep him sidelined for a long time."

Meireles just scored a real beauty. Looks decent in the center.

It's an interesting idea, but I bet Portugal are just messing by playing him there. Not really sure he's got enough experience there though - might be better sticking him at left back until he gets used to the English game.

From the Liverpool Daily Post today.........

"The 30-year-old has suffered suspected ankle ligament damage but swelling around the injury means the extent of the damage cannot be determined for a few days.

And Kuyt said: “The swelling is so bad that it will take three to four days to be sure.

“But I fear the worst. You know your own body. It doesn’t feel good. In fact the doctors have the same feeling.

“I’ve probably torn ankle ligaments, they say. Let’s hope that they and I are wrong.”
