How can Isak show aggression and passion if he moves slower than my grandma used to on her rollator back in 2010.?

Our fullbacks will be murdered against better teams unless we sign a great dm (which we won't) or if we turn Araujo into a RB and he really kicks on and Kerkez somehow considerably improves his positional awareness and decision making.

Remember first paying attention to him only when we had signed him. He was playing for Holland and I felt like this guy can't be it. No way has he been a key part of the Leverkusen side that went a season unbeaten. He's a sprinter. Looks a bit like a really small and fast running back for a medicore NFL team. Seems like a genuinely nice fella and I'd love him to be good at football. He's not.

A long way to become Ballon d’Or yet. He’s obviously got time on his side but last night he wasn’t a superstar in the making.

Put it this way: if he was a young kid coming up from the ranks and had put in the performances he has for the minutes he’s played, would you think he’s our future starting striker for years to come? Or would you go, nah mate if we’re going to be chasing league titles we must strengthen the position? For all the excitement I felt when we signed him I’m definitely in the latter category. I just don’t see any signs there that it’ll click at some point.

For me both full backs are the weakest areas of the team. Even worse than the wings. State of this squad…

We need better full backs, better wingers, a better striker and a new defensive midfielder if we want to be evem close to competing for any meaningful stuff.

Araujo and Muñoz on please. Rio and Frimpong off. I’d also consider bringing Tsimikas on much as I don’t like him. Kerkez could well be off by 75 minutes.

Make no mistake the first five games of this season were not good. The points were there but the scorelined really flattered us.
