I'd love to go to a couple of European aways this winter (work permitting). Just had a look at the teams in the competition and leading their groups and there's some pretty tasty teams left in there. Then add the teams dropping out of the European Cup and it's not going to be easy to win the thing.

Haven't read it, but don't care. great player.. we miss him, was treated a tad harshly, but we move on.. it's not about one player.....

It is a valid question and the amount of crap Kev is getting isn't justified at all. He quite clearly said at the beginning he wanted to gauge opinion on the forum. A prime of example of answer the post not state your opinion of the poster. I don't want Rafa to go, but we really are in a massive rut at the moment. We're all over the place at the back, insipid in midfield and (without Torres) pretty toothless up front. Personally, I think we've reached a critical point in proceedings. Either the Americans go (or significant new investment), or Rafa will make his position untenable by speaking out about the situation or walk. I don't see both parties in the current form) being at Anfield at the start of next season.

I think he’s a good player and his goal against the mancs and last night showed. He does look a bit clumsy to me, though, and his control lets him down more often than not. I’m not writing him off and certainly not slagging him off, but he needs a bit of time to develop. If I were to look at the situation objectively, I’d say the N’Gog situation highlights one of the major successes Wenger has at Arsenal. When they bring a player through the ranks, he seems confident and equipped to perform to the team tactics/style of play. I don’t seem to see this with too many debutant Liverpool players in recent times, including N’Gog.

I love the Rafatollah. Class ! I went to my next door neighbour's house-party to celebrate his 40th birthday over the weekend. He's a mad Chelsea fan and one of the senior stewards at Stamford Bridge. He pipes up towards the end of the evening "Why do you lot stick up for your manager and chant his name even when your on this long losing streak? We'd have chucked him out ages ago and got a big name manager in to replace him" So I shot back at him "That's because you lot are a bunch of classless c**** who wouldn't know what loyalty and support was if it smacked you in the gob". Cue silence in the house, tumbleweed blowing gently across the floor of the kitchen and a death stare from the missus. His father in law broke the ice with. "I keep telling him he's a c*** but he won't listen, now he's got a second opinion. He might !"

Gibo, you missed the delights of that Greek fella (who was in front of you in the first half). As soon as we went 2-1 down he started shouting 'get rid of the Spanish waiter, he's s***' and '£7 million pounds a season to buy loads of s*** players and play like 10 year olds'. He came out with loads of other gems until he nearly caused a riot. The stewards came and asked him to move for his own and everybdy else's safety. He was ranting and raving so much I thought he was going to have a coronary. He was very lucky he didn't get a smack
