He did. He punched the air, then did his usual glance at the watch.

This happened to someone close to me. Her chances of recovery are dependant upon where the haemorrhage has taken place. I hope she pulls through.

Yeah, he's got no mental strength and has turned (overnight) into a gibbering wreck. (Give me strength !!) Oh and don't forget to watch Soccer Saturday if you need any further information. I'd suggest you refer to Charlie Nicholas and Paul Merson as your guiding lights

The last man to take quality corners for Liverpool...
Andy Mac replied to ShaunOfTheRed 's topic in Liverpool FC
Top man is Gary Macca. I took my daughter to her first game at Portman Road in 2002. G Mc was warming up and the ball came over to the sidelines and he kicked it back and then started chatting to the crowd and signing autographs. He said 'how are you, darlin'' to my daughter and she told him it was her first game and she was really excited. He then whistled over Micheal Owen and Danny Murphy and said ' come and meet Jess she want loads of goals today, cos it's her first match'. They shook her hand and Michael said ' I but them in for you, Jess, cos Danny couldn't hit a barn door from 6 feet' He scored two and we won 6-0, Jess was made up. Fantastic touch by Gary Macca, though He loves the club and the fans love him. I thing football clubs need people like him both to advise and coach but also as ambassadors. -
won tickets to see Bristol City V ipswich

I've been to the Exec boxes there a few times. A couple of conferences and twice to see them when they were in the Premiership. The boxes and conference facilities are very good there, but I wouldn't want to spend a Boxing Day afternoon there. I think someone at the school my daughter goes to has a box there (or his company does) he probably didn't fancy going there either, so gave it away. The bloke who bought the 'package' really is a bell and probably paid for the tickets because he could afford to and so everyone would say 'aren't you generous to the school?'. Either way I'm not going, which is fine by me ! -

I won two tickets for an executive box day out (meal. match and post game drink in the players lounge) at Charlton Athletic on Boxing Day (I think it's againt Swindon). I didn't want them, so offered them up for auction. Some balloon paid £300 for them (All proceeds to the school) -

Quite a few years ago I came up North the visit my family and thought I’d take the opportunity to go to the Derby against Everton, only problem was I didn’t have a ticket (no change there then). Anyway, I stood outside the ground asking for spares and was quoted prices from silly to extortionate. I had £30 on me, so thought, right, this looks like a no-go, I’ll have a bet and see if I can win a few quid. Went to the bookies next to Sam Dodds and wrote a bet out for £20. I went to the counter and the lady pipes up ‘I can’t take that, love it’s a dodgy £20’, I was gutted, so walked out and started heading for the car. So I’m walking away from the ground and one of these 3 scallies shouts ‘Anyone wanna ticket?’, so of course, hoping against hope I ask how much? They look at each other and the hard faced one says, ‘only face value £15’. I thought aye, aye, something going on here, so I ask to look at the ticket and they flash it enough for me to catch it was the child part of an adult and child ticket. So, I weigh things up quickly and thought it was worth the risk… so I go ‘ alright then, I’ve only got a twenty pound note, so give me a fiver and I’ll take it’. They go for it, give me the ticket and the fiver change. They then scarper quick as a flash with one lad turning round and screaming at me ‘ ahhhhh… it’s a kid’s ticket you fat t***’. I shouted ‘ that’s alright, d****ead, it’s a dodgy twenty….’. I don’t think he heard me, they were gone so fast’. I got in, too. Although didn’t sit in the allotted seat, just in case.

I've been trying a new method of contributing to this site. Read the original post and then ignore subsequent posts, try to take the personality of the post out of my feeelings, skip to post a reply and then give my opinion. Ok, here goes In my opinion, we have one of the top 5 managers in the world with us, despite the fact we're f***ing him about, and the fact we have limited funds, numpties behind the scenes and a dreadful run of injuries. Rafa is dignified, focused and honourable. He may not be your cup of tea, or a charlie big potatoes... but you know what? I'd rather him as the manager than anyone else right now. He treats victory and defeat the same......and that, to me, is the sign of a man I'd like on my side !!

He was a great player and goalscorer that should never be forgotten, but (to some extent) he threw his talent away with the booze and larking about. I have good friends and relatives (red and blue) who knew Robbie and McManaman very well over their formative first team years at the club and some of the things they got up to and the club put up with didn't exactly go hand in hand with the behaviour of a dedicated professional. He had some bad luck with injuries, that's true, but what's more sad is that he didn't give himself the opportunity to fully realise his potential.

Did you see the word outfield???? Ok, I may have been a little harsh on Fernando
-
I'm lucky enough to have seen them both play lots of games for us and in my opinion, there's no contest. Dalglish. The main reason is consistency of performance and Kenny was relatively injury free thoughout his career. Kenny was a sublime player. Linking play, simple passes, kept the ball flowing and was always moving and giving others options. But he was capable of turning a game on it's head with one move or shimmy. He scored some incredible goals but he took his chances with great accuracy. The other thing he did was pass (or chip) the ball into the net.... and that beaming smile when he or another player scored.....we would, indeed, walk a million miles.... It pains me to say it, but I think another reason for choosing Kenny over Gerrard is that Kenny played in a very, very good side and this gave him the opportunity show his skills and play with great players. Apart from Torres and Carra (and they'd only be possibles) none of the other outfield players would even be considered for the late 70's and 80's teams. Gerrard is a great but Kenny was a genius !
