The booing of Owen upset me today. He always stated that sometime in his career he would go abroad. When he was edged out at Real Madrid he publicly stated he wanted to come back to us. When he was with us he ALWAYS gave of his best. He didn't deserve the barracking. What sets us apart from others is the way we treat our own.

Thank God I didn't put any money on it. I was sorely tempted. As you may have gathered I had had a few drinks last night and was sitting here watching the clips from Istanbul and listening to some music. I had Betfair site open and was looking at having a very, very big bet on Liverpool to win based on what I'd been told from a good friend who is from Brazil. He said they were a good team but that we'd batter them ( he was right). Even though I was "emotional" praise the Lord I stuck to my guns and rule number 1 . I lived on the Linthorpre Rd, Middlesbrough in the mid 80s ( abt 5 mins from the ground) and I can say hand on heart Boro fans are the biggest load of s***house low lives you'd ever have the mis pleasure to meet. On Saturday they were singing "there's only one Rodney Trotter" as a supposed skit at Crouchy. Nomarks ! Also, singing "sign on, sign on" Yeah right, 'cos Middlesbrough is a rosy place to inhabit

Craig Bellamy has been accused of bragging about his salary to opponents on the pitch by Clyde midfielder Darren Sheridan. The Wales striker, who earns £45,000 per week, scored his first goal in a Celtic shirt in the 5-0 Scottish Cup tie on Sunday after joining the club on loan following his fall-out with Newcastle boss Graeme Souness. Sheridan was pictured shoving Bellamy in the face during the game and has since told the Scottish Sun: "he was on the pitch going on about how much money he was on." "He is a top player but he just never shuts up," he added. "He was going on at everyone in our team." "I think that's why he is not liked.
