I've reminded Arne at some length about the Rob Jones & Steve Nicol fullback double-act of '93 and explained it would strengthen us defensively and provide crosses. Gone for Woodman in goal 'cos he needs something in case we have to rely on him. A Gerrard and Hamann combo in midfield. And Plan A is a Dalglish Rush up front but I've PS'd the letter with an acceptance that maybe an Isak Ekitike pairing could be Aldridge Rush.

Think we should go strong, we desperately need a win to gain back some confidence. This is an ideal game to test out a new system with the players. 3-4-1-2 or 4-2-3-1, ditch the 4-3-3 its not working for toffee.

We had a big win and it didn't help much.

I like the idea of trying Bradley on wing has looked good there at international level.
