I'm fine with the idea that we establish a value on players and if another club are willing to overpay, then so be it. Mbaye might be valued by us at £30m but is going for £50m. Long as we actually get the guy we choose, it's all good. Big f***ing leap of faith needed though that we do

I'm appreciative though as it means we're in for a helluva few days. More exciting than most telly

Or maybe we get 'Liverpool do not expect to add further to their squad, instead allowing Iraola to see how the current squad adapt to his methods before assessing the market and Minteh's recovery from injury in January' after Barcola.

This “tough mama” stuff comes from one (1) article. It’s the same as with Mbappe’s and Rabiot’s mums. Mums in football business = bad. Idiotic if this is really a consideration. Surely you price each player based on value, not on the fact two targets play for the same club.

Keep him then, he's on £3m a year, we spend that on Academy players. He's of more use to us than a few million quid in the bank especially when we're already 5/6 players short

Interesting thinking about the numbers that have come out when Mbaye and Sarr have been linked with other clubs, is there literally a 'Liverpool tax', or are we the ones briefing those mad valuations?

There was a TAW interview with Dom King from the mail the other day, and it was crazy hearing how careful he was being about what he said. The club have really got those client journalists on a short leash.
