Cam Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Does Collymore drink? I said in the pundits thread that he'll never last with the BBC. And that's if he even starts. "They employed Savile". Christ. He's looking to be dumped by them, isn't he. Clearly has a victim complex... or at least wants to be seen as one rather than the perpetrator.
Raj Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 He makes some fair points. But they are negated by the fact he is a massive c***
Swipe Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 He makes some fair points. But they are negated by the fact he is a massive c*** Aye. So often the case with him too.
John am Rhein Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 didn't know he'd said that about the Falklands - good on him
PhilM Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Is there actually any evidence other than in his own head that his comments about The Falklands have anything to do with it?
Rimbeux Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Is there actually any evidence other than in his own head that his comments about The Falklands have anything to do with it? I can't really follow it. It's a ramble that makes perfect sense if you've watched it all along I suppose.
PhilM Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 It just seems to be a big ego masturbation. Maybe they just put him as the 15th reserve on a list of pundits because they don't think he's very interesting.
Falconhoof Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm not sure why, but when I hear him on the radio, it sounds like he's in a mobile burger van, or the toilets in a branch of wickes. There's just something so functional and 'take it or leave it, that's my opinion' about him.
Hassony Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 What did he say about the Falklands? Falklands? Wasn't anyone's. We just thieved it, as we do. What glory, what triumph. A f***ing island with sheep. Rule Britannia
Cobs Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm not sure why, but when I hear him on the radio, it sounds like he's in a mobile burger van, or the toilets in a branch of wickes. There's just something so functional and 'take it or leave it, that's my opinion' about him. and of course his favourite technique of SHOUTING over anyone else
Nerik Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Falklands? Wasn't anyone's. We just thieved it, as we do. What glory, what triumph. A f***ing island with sheep. Rule Britannia Scandalous! Cameron had better strip him of his citizenship.
Sion Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Falklands? Wasn't anyone's. We just thieved it, as we do. What glory, what triumph. A f***ing island with sheep. Rule Britannia Er how can we have thieved it if it wasn't anyone's in the first place. Checkmate, Stan.
Cam Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 There's just something so functional and 'take it or leave it, that's my opinion' about him. There's no analysis, just paint-by-numbers comments seemingly generated randomly. Whinged about Manquillo and Moreno on Sunday. Until that 3rd goal. Next game Moreno will be "ace" but judged solely by the goal. He's as contrary as an internet fan.
allez les rouges Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Stratejicly as an army base its very important
Bailo Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 There's no analysis, just paint-by-numbers comments seemingly generated randomly. Whinged about Manquillo and Moreno on Sunday. Until that 3rd goal. Next game Moreno will be "ace" but judged solely by the goal. He's as contrary as an internet fan.He was making no sense at all about Sturridge. Banging on about within 4-6 games of not scoring you can ruin a striker. All because Dan was tracking back and going out wide.
RP Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Me too. It's sad to see his continued demise being played out in the public eye like it is.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I follow him on Twitter for the football updates. Thats what my Twitter feed is, opinions on football and news. He needs 2 Twitter accounts, one for the sports and another for everthing else.
Cam Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 He needs 2 Twitter accounts, one for the sports and another for everthing else.I'm stunned his employers haven't insisted on it. Okay, considering it's TalkSport "stunned" may be over-egging it a little; I'm guessing they're of the "any publicity is good publicity" ilk. MotD and the BBC certainly aren't though.
DJS Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Me too. It's sad to see his continued demise being played out in the public eye like it is. To be fair, it's him who puts it there.
RP Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 To be fair, it's him who puts it there. Oh yeah, definitely. But he's supported in doing so by his employers - who profit from his 'controversial' style.
Rimbeux Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Oh yeah, definitely. But he's supported in doing so by his employers - who profit from his 'controversial' style. That's true. On the plus side for them, they have at times encouraged him to stick to football, and have lobbied Twitter and had a station wide boycott of them for a period over their abuse/troll complaints policies.
