Yep will be a downgrade on what we have now with Gakpo. Quite concerning if this is what Iraola wants.

They've had nearly a year to plan for Salah's replacement and we end up desperately scrambling to sing 2 lads that none of us would have been happy with at the end of last summer with 48 hours left of the window. It's just staggering incompetence.

I just hope, and all I have left is hope, that the Sarr briefing is to pressure Brighton to drop their price for Mintah or someone else. Surely we aren't going to suddenly change our approach to transfers for Sarr???

I think the intention is that Sarr is the back-up striker; Minteh the starting right-winger.

Sarr as a back up striker can't really do much worse than Isak at the moment, and Isak obviously can't play in every game, so that's fair enough. We are all terrified at the possibility, indeed possibly likelihood, of us selling Gakpo, and just getting Sarr in as a replacement and nobody on the right.

I think Sarr and Minteh is probably okay from where we are. 

what’s more worrying is the lack of movement on a midfielder. Nyoni better be ready and Mac really has to regain some form.
