Not the way I see it,

City fans are getting very confident they will get off with it all.

Why? Gakpo just slows everything down, I wouldn't start him, unless Isak isn't fit.

They have bid for him but nothing finalised as far as I know.

Gakpo on the bench, Rio on the left, Munoz on the right, Isak up top. Same back 4, not sure I like Araujo at RB seems like 2 yellows waiting to happen. Maybe a cheeky bid for Williams and get him in from Forest I time for Saturday. Midfield, who ever plays in there with Dom, is deployed primarily as a number 6 let the full backs support Dom, I'd keep Wirtz in for now as long as we try to get at them.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it previously but what about Watkins, on loan if we could get it over the line, maybe with an option to buy? I wouldn't be adverse, gives us a ball in behind we don't seem to have at the moment. Also if we're looking at left wing options, I reckon Martinelli was a better option than the injured Minteh.

I hoped Spurs tuned in for the goal and didn't see the rest and bid for him.

I think he was poor today but when both the left winger and number 9 are closing the space he plays in, it's a difficult one. Until we start trying to stretch the opposition then he isn't going to flourish. Isak worries me more, I think Wirtz can still come good, we saw the odd sign of it last season. Obviously some have written him off already, let's hope they are wrong.

I disagree, his game is finding runners, for us he is operating in a very tight space with no real effort by the others to rub in behind. Was poor today but I think if we aren't regularly trying to stretch the opposition defence then we aren't going to see the best of him.

It shows we can't play Gakpo and Isak upfront as there's no pace or runs in behind. Wirtz was poor but it's not helpful when your number 9 doesn't make a run in behind or try and stretch their back 4. Need a genuine number 6, as we shouldn't keep conceding those type of goals. Gakpo should go, I'd not mind Gravenbach going either. At least one midfielder in, has to be a number 6 type. Barcola and one more pacey forward is a must.

Why oh why are we going for Minteh who is out until October. Didn't we learn from the Isak mess. If we get him I would be surprised if we got Barcola as well. Looking at Spurs getting Savinho I think Gakpo unfortunately will be staying. I hope I'm wrong but if this is it, then can FSG just f off now and we'll take our chances with the new lot. Another mediocre season potentially awaits, we might try and play better football but won't have the quality and will struggle to qualify for any European football.

Only Ngumoha and Kerkez are actually short others might look it next to Araujo
