We'd agreed terms with him. It was Palace and Glasner playing silly buggers that scuppered it. Yeah, and Palace forgetting to sign a replacement. They had one lined up, he went to West Ham after Glasner said he didn't want him and wouldn't play him. I think it was Diassi.

Nah, they won't sack him. We could lose every game until the end of the season (and we still might). I'm 100% convinced he's gone on the 25th of May though. There's a chance they might do it if (once) it becomes mathematically impossible to finish 5th. He's a dead man walking... literally needs a miracle to keep his job, even the sh*tty pundits on SSN are saying it. They can't get a fan on their fanny segments to come out in support of him either. No-one will do it.

Wharton is good at picking up loose balls. The palace midfield is well organised and presses well. He benefits. He’d be all at sea chasing the ball around and trying to fill in gaps when we lose the ball. Much like Mac is. we need bouncer so gravenberch can become more of a playmaker and less of a makeshift 6. we also need a bouncer cos whoever is playing at cb next season is gonna need a lot more help than they got from our midfield this season.

I think we'd be worse if we replaced Mac with Wharton. He's even less physical, slow to the ball and reliant on ball winners to get the ball to him. We need a bouncer.

The one I want is Anderson.

I would expect Alonso would want a new midfielder. We need another CB to replace Konate, ideally one that can play LB otherwise we need one of them too, along with two wide forwards.

Yeah, he won’t resign, but you’d think he’d be happy to get sacked, take a payoff and walk out with some kudos of not being knocked out of the fac or the cl. I guess that all depends on Alonso and the extra cash it would take to hire him now and fire slot mid season. there’s a big chance alonso won’t fancy it right now…

Yeah, we lost cos we were crap, but there's been at least one incidence (Spurs vs Arsenal) where a goal was ruled out by VAR for the same sort of "foul" on Konate for their first, their second was offside. Minteh should have have had at least 3 yellow cards, 2 of them for diving after he'd already been carded one of which resulted in a foul to them and a yellow to Frimpong! There was that bad tackle on Jones by Hinchelwood that could have been a red on another day. The ref didn't give a foul never mind a yellow for it. Plenty of games where teams don't lose when playing a better team, not very often do teams get away with not being the better team and the ref and VAR being absolute ****s.

Yeah, It looked offiside cos it was. Their excuse is that it wasn't offside enough, much like the Wirtz one (though that was also cleared up as being they broadcasted the wrong still... but hey ho)
