Billy Talbot

yeah, we would have had to go on a genuinely stinking run of defeats for him to get sacked before the end of the season. I really can't see them offering him another contract.

f*** me, I've just watched the handball goal again. I mean, not only does it hit his hand, but it arguable that the ball wouldn't have gone in if it didn't. **** off Atwell.

We could sign Wharton if we let jones and mac go and signed a proper 6.

Well that's the thing isn't it? Surely they can't just see how he gets on. We need major signings this summer and no-one we'd want is coming to play for a manager who's just managed the season we've had and has an expiring contract. Similar with the sporting directors.

If they're going to stick with him, they'll have to give him a new deal. And if FSG are going along with Hughes and Edwards assessment of Slot, they should be giving them new deals too.

I didn't think it was a penalty. But then once the ref gives it, I don't know what it's overturned for. Was a gift that was snatched away. ****s. Then the ref who was a bit weird started giving them all sorts to make it for it. So it got us twice.

Yeah, might as well play him and get as much out of him as we can. Start Ekitike wide left then swap them and sub isak for Rio.

That’s the fella.

Am enjoying this but Fernandez, shaw and cunha will be a real problem for whoever plays at RB for us when we play them.

We'd agreed terms with him. It was Palace and Glasner playing silly buggers that scuppered it. Yeah, and Palace forgetting to sign a replacement. They had one lined up, he went to West Ham after Glasner said he didn't want him and wouldn't play him. I think it was Diassi.

Yeah, I'm also busy on Thursday nights these days so it's imperative for my sanity that we finish top 5. I'd rather not qualify for either of the other two given that alternative.

If Arsenal finish 6th...

Nah, they won't sack him. We could lose every game until the end of the season (and we still might). I'm 100% convinced he's gone on the 25th of May though. There's a chance they might do it if (once) it becomes mathematically impossible to finish 5th. He's a dead man walking... literally needs a miracle to keep his job, even the sh*tty pundits on SSN are saying it. They can't get a fan on their fanny segments to come out in support of him either. No-one will do it.

Usually you’d say, “pin that up on the dressing room wall” but I think that might do more harm than good

Certainly feels that way. Very prescient

Yep. Conceded and gave up

Very disappointing

Wharton is good at picking up loose balls. The palace midfield is well organised and presses well. He benefits. He’d be all at sea chasing the ball around and trying to fill in gaps when we lose the ball. Much like Mac is. we need bouncer so gravenberch can become more of a playmaker and less of a makeshift 6. we also need a bouncer cos whoever is playing at cb next season is gonna need a lot more help than they got from our midfield this season.

I think we'd be worse if we replaced Mac with Wharton. He's even less physical, slow to the ball and reliant on ball winners to get the ball to him. We need a bouncer.

The one I want is Anderson.

I would expect Alonso would want a new midfielder. We need another CB to replace Konate, ideally one that can play LB otherwise we need one of them too, along with two wide forwards.

Yeah, he won’t resign, but you’d think he’d be happy to get sacked, take a payoff and walk out with some kudos of not being knocked out of the fac or the cl. I guess that all depends on Alonso and the extra cash it would take to hire him now and fire slot mid season. there’s a big chance alonso won’t fancy it right now…
