They were f***ing s***e. Imagine the score if either or both of the refs weren't bent. We were f***ing terrible too. Would have been about 30-0 if we weren't. -

He's a RB for those games were we have loads of possession and the oppo play for a 0-0 bore draw. Unfortunately the oppos have started playing those games looking for a 0-1 win so Frimpong is no good. -

It seems our players only close enough to match fitness to start by playing matches. I'm sure other coaching staff have come across this catch-22 before and have managed to come a cropper, but it seems our lot have worked out you only do that if they actually want them playing matches. If not they never get fit enough to play. It's a win-win. -
I'm not arsed about where we were, how much we spent, what we're supposed to achieve. Just game by game. That was absolutely ****ing atrocious. f***ing terrible. As bad in some ways as PSV was but without the caveats. This is push come to shove time and that was awful. We don't defend or attack with conviction.

Yeah, he looks like he goes into shock. You can see him trembling. I'd like him to renew as well, at sensible wage, but I'd like us to have at least two starting centre backs in the team ahead of him. If he plays well enough to get back in the team and stay there then fair enough. I think it would be best for him. I don't think he's going to go anywhere else and start pulling up trees and it could go badly wrong.

They're rarely given but Bothroyd is right, anywhere else on the pitch it's a foul. If Rodri is passing and not shooting, it's a foul. for some reason refs think anyone shooting is fair game to get clattered.

Plenty of times refs haven’t given pens and not booked players. Never mind 2nd yellows. It’s years since I can remember that. -

Felt a bit like the game we lost at Palace under Rodgers.
-
yeah I'd take it. But I don't think he'd last very long.
-
Correct. Different but also similar to my annoyance with people who say "daily basis".
-
yeah, I've snapped. I hope he crash lands us in the top five but after that... that's enough.
-
He had a good game. I can't make up my mind if he's been so bad this season that it's made us bad or we've been so bad it's made him bad. Either way, we and he have both been bad.
-
Yep. His job isn't about him keeping his job. His opinion on that is irrelevant to everyone but him and his family.
-
Yeah I agree, I think if we're out of touch of top 5 (quite possible) and we get knocked out of the CL he gets fired before the end of the season. I think whilst it's possible we finish top 5 he keeps his job. I think if we finish top 5 handsomely, (unlikely) he keeps his job. If we don't finish top 5 he gets fired. I think if we scrape it it's touch and go.

I do wonder what difference the Afcon made this season. Last season he was redefining himself as more of a wide playmaker. He was playing loads of through balls and those outside of the boot curling passes. This season he seemed to double back down on being trying to be a ball carrying winger. that’s surely not been our coaches’ instructions.
