Yeah, that’s part of their job isn’t it. The others being making sure the squad is big enough and balanced enough and the coach has the tools he needs and doing that within the budget. We don’t do these things very well at the moment either.

The problem with saying we should have sign x or y a year ago when they were 10 or 20m is there are lots of players that move around for 10 or 20m. It's one in a hundred or more that a year later are worth 100m. You don't get to pick them and only them.

I’m sorta surprised he’s stayed tbh. They’ve just won their treble, twice. And whilst doing it three times would be incredible, twice is incredible enough. Maybe he just sees it as a chance to win 3 big cups on the bounce. That’s the only big attraction I can see. He won’t stay there forever.
