  1. There was a rumour we were interested in Bastoni, but I'd assume that's part of the succession plan for VvD.
  2. Yeah, other than Nunez no-one particularly, but what I don't want is us not signing players cos we're finding it hard to shift players that we obviously want to replace. Tsimikas for example. I'd just like to see wheels turning in the right direction.
  3. I'd like to see the outgoings start, but not Robbo
  4. UEFA aren't really interested so clubs don't care. At least the Premier League threatens sanctions for it.
  5. Oh yeah, he was a c*** but... people are. What's worse are people thinking what he said about most stuff was correct and proper or worth assimilating. He wouldn't done that. He wasn't that much of a c***. Or maybe he was. Either way, he'd have been much less of a c*** if people hadn't bothered to listen to him. And he'd a been much less of a c*** if he hadn't let the fact that people did go to his head and make him think every thought was worth saying. I live in Nottingham btw (though I'm from Liverpool). Every time he's mentioned I just roll my eyes.
  6. Always came across to me as someone who's a bit autistic. He saw the world solely through his own vision and didn't have the capacity to see things from other people's POV at the same time. And then on top of that, or maybe due to that, he allowed himself to become alcoholic, which would have exacerbated that. His successful career as an opinionated tw4t wouldn't have helped him either. He and everyone around him I'm sure would have enjoyed his presence on Earth if he'd learned when to keep his gob shut.
  7. I "like" the way the media are saying Wirtz' signing has been made possible by our frugal spending in the last windows without mentioning that Man City have spent a quarter of billion pounds in the last year and no-one has batted an eyelid.
  8. "Trent" delivering his news conference in Spanish...
  9. I always had a feeling he'd go to Atletico. He's their kinda player.
  10. someone's given him a bowl 'ed.
  11. Ha. Proper idiots although Ryanair didn’t help by using one gate for two flights. The flight we were on had a bus, the other you could walk up to. They told us to get in the bus when we showed our tickets, these two idiots were next to us in the queue so I know they were told to get on the bus, they then got on the bus with us. There was some mumblings from other passengers so I asked a fella in a Ryanair jacket who was stood just outside the gate if we should be on the bus for our flight and he said yeah. That’s when these two got off the bus. I assumed they were on the other flight and congratulated myself for clarifying their situation without embarrassment. Then we were delayed and those two idiots eventually showed up after being kicked off the other plane. I had to listen to the stewards sorting it all out on walkie-talkies. I’d not long slipped a disc in my back too so sitting on a plane was agony. Utter idiots.
  12. The last flight I was on was delayed because some idiots, who were standing next to me on the bus from the gate to the plane, got of the bus and boarded another plane. They were eventually put on our plane after about half an hour. They nearly managed it
  13. Robin Koch has been good tonight. Is playing right CB and does play DMC.
  14. Yeah Diaz has been a bit unlucky with the age he came to us. Usually he gets a new bumper contract after a couple of years. Unfortunately for him, he was 25 and signed a 5 year deal when he joined and the window that he would have usually been given a new contract was last summer, after 2 seasons. That would have taken him to age 32 and with last summer as we all know was stuffed for contract renewals, leaving him with 2 years left on relatively low wages and 28 years old. We could give him a 4 year deal now but if we're looking to shift him (or think that he's looking to shift himself) there's no point doing that as that wage will just eat into any transfer fee. Given that his agent will want to argue that his extension should really cover the lost year too, it's a tough deal to do unless he and us are fully committed to him playing here until he's 32/33. Otherwise it's better to sell him this window/season or next, or even let him stay until the end of 26/27 given that whoever we replace him with will probably want at least another £100kpw and maybe more.
  15. Someone was linked with him recently I remember seeing/hearing on SSN and Milan quoted them 150m Euro.
  16. Yeah maybe, although paradoxically his seeming willingness to go to Saudi might make giving him a new contract and selling him at 30yo more attractive.
  17. Yeah, only way it makes sense to sell Diaz is if we replace him someone with the likelihood of being as good but younger. That would be the point of selling him though. if we give him a new contract it'll pretty much be his last at the top level. I suspect it'll all depend on his wage demands.
  18. Yeah, he's got previous hasn't he? One of them "right wing" "comics".
  19. Playing them away lets him off far too easy.
  20. So what are the chances of drawing Madrid in the CL next season?
