It'll have better positioning than Upamecano.

Regarding Guehi I think it might be a tricky time for him to move in Jan. With World Cup coming up he wouldn't want to lose playing time and get stuck on the bench, which he might as a newcomer into a team in midseason.

It just makes no sense for Guehi himself to move in Jan. He'll have a larger list of clubs to choose from in the summer and he'll get much bigger signing on fee and wages. Additionally, if he's pissed off at Parish, this is how he gets back at him also.

Don't be surprised to see Parish try and force him out in Jan though as he needs th ££.

Think he'll only move in Jan if he's seriously, seriously pissed of at Palace, and we're looking on for some medals, and he gets some assurances about play time.

Otherwise yeah, he may as well stay put.

I don't think palace will even sell him. They money they'd get for higher league positions, and potentially winning the Conference League and getting Europa next year -  its easier to gamble on that when the fee would be half what was agreed 2 weeks ago.

£30-35m is about what Chelsea made from winning the Conference League last year I think

Does that include match day revenues and sponsor bonuses, or just Uefa payout?

He could win the league and/or the CL. And if he waits till summer then he might get injured in the mean time and find himself in a bad position by the summer.

A real shame to miss out on Guehi. Konate now gets to play out the season instead of warming the bench before his ‘big move’.

If it goes the way we are all now expecting then that’s a lot of money lost in consecutive summers.

They’ll have an eye on Mac Allister and as much as I don’t want to sound like a Geordie surely we have to discourage this sort of thing somehow.

Macca's got three years left on his deal I think.

I feel pretty relaxed about Konate - high profile Bosmans are going to become more common, we'll benefit from it too.

Yup. Same as Szobo and Grav. I’d be trying to get all three to sign 2-3 year extensions this season but not worried about Madrid being in for Mac A - they won’t pay what we’d ask I reckon

No and I think he might be too old for them to want to pay a fee anyway, their strategy is pretty clear now.
