With him its kind of better the devil you know. We know he isn't a complete idiot like hughes and has brought in some decent players. Sets us up until the new lot want to get their guy in i suppose

Do we know what he did in his year away from Liverpool?  I presume loads of other top clubs were lined up to offer him big jobs...

No one comes close to producing bangers like growler.

In terms of forum lines, asking what brand sponsor the club has connected you to the most is second only to tiger in the boardroom.

It’s just genius.

Hey my point was no one cares who the sponsors are, long as they pay the money and don’t get in the way.

just poorly worded…

Sporting directors should be like the old owners. Not involved in the holy trinity, there to sign the cheques.

long as he understands what we need on the pitch and gets that done.

Ajax wanted him, but he refused.

Do we know why left so soon last time? Apparently, he notified FSG a mere few months into his tenure that he will leave the following summer.

We know that Jurgen gained much greater influence over transfers, but Ward must have known that when he accepted the job.

He didn't like Klopp having power.

I think this is a simple, no-nonsense appointment that doesn’t cost a lot and ruffles no feathers. I expect him to be moved on post-takeover.

Hope so. I'd like to see a new broom to sweep away the Edwards dogma. It's had its day, the best summer we had for years was when Klopp was picking the players and Schmadtke was doing the deals.

Yeah, listened to that.

Sounds encouraging, but then they tend to be positive about most things LFC related.

Far more so than their sister podcast with the fecal based name

Did he flop? Seemed like he had at least as good a hit rate than Hughes.

I don't know if anyone really knows who he bought. He quit cos Jürgen had too much power so he could've just been negotiating on behalf of Klopp's picks.

He was weak and he started crying when Klopp called him a geek and got big Jorge to sort him out with 4 midfielders

The offal's social media channels wishing Alexander-Arnold a happy birthday today.

F*** that sh*t.

I wouldn't read too much into it, they did the same for Sebastian Coates and offered a happy retirement to Fabio Borini.

Don't think anybody is reading anything into it, just that he can f*** off with his birthday wishes and shove them up his a***.

It’s a good reminder for him, in a kinda, look at what you could’ve had way.

Did he get diaz in? If so was a really good signing even though Jarg described him as a crab

He managed and completed the deal, but he wasn't the one who identified him,  think that was Edwards
