From the outset it was weird them appointing Rosenior. Was always going to end one way. And you can be sure his contract contains numerous break clauses for Chelsea, so whilst he will no doubt walk away with a tidy paycheck, no way is he getting paid for the remainder of that ludicrously long contract.
-
I think they were just waiting for the green light from Klopp.
-
Not sold on him yet.

Footy - 2018/19 & 19/20 & 20/21 etc

Agreed. If we come 5th, it is much more due to Chelsea's ineptitude than us meriting it. -
Really? Doesn't sound right.

All part of the dance. I expect they'll shake hands at around €70-80m.

Match Topic Everton vs Liverpool - Premier League, 19th April @ 2pm

He was. Wirtz and Gravenberch were garbage. -
Definitely 5th with him gone. I really don't think he can turn things around.
-
I don't understand how we don't seem to buy these players before their price goes sky high.
-
I haven't done the prerequisite research, but that is a very good and valid point.
-
He is not our only striker and he is not a kid. With the main striker out injured, it is up to him to step up and lead the attack. That is why we paid so much money for him, and that is why he earns those wages. I understand and accept that there are mitigating circumstances - new league and the team playing badly to name a couple - but he is not an 18-year-old who has just come up from the academy.
-
Well the evidence is certainly there.
-
I really fail to understand FSG, Edwards and Hughes. It has been crystal clear for months that Slot is incapable of turning things around, yet they continue to persist with him and make excuses for him.
-
So should be available for the CL final.
-
So Edwards and Hughes are going in the summer and we are going to be left with Slot because there is no sporting director to make the call? Brilliant way to run one of the biggest football clubs in the world, that it.
-
I think we were linked with Archie Grey the summer he moved to Spurs. He is going to be a top player, get him in.
-
Wirtz and Isak. Wirtz the creativity, Isak the goals.
-
Seriously, what are they waiting for? It has been painfully obvious for quite a while that Slot is not turning this around. You've got Alonso seating at home, waiting for a call.
-
I gave a lot of credit to Slot last season for coming in and winning the league, but I am now convinced that momentum from the Klopp era carried us to the title (yes, with a little help from Slot). I am also quickly coming around to the realisation that Michael Edwards isn't the genius a lot of people (myself included) made him out to be, and here too it was Klopp's brilliance that carried him.
-
That really is poor from Indy. Must be short on clicks lately.
-
It would definitely be a wild and exciting ride if that was to happen.

In years gone by a winner in the last seconds of a game and I'd bring the house down screaming in joy. Yesterday I just smiled to myself and thought ah nice one. The performance was well below anything we should expect from a Liverpool team. No passion, no fluency, no apparent plan. And it has been like that all season, and even going back to the latter stages of last season. I can just about understand FSG keeping Slot on until the summer, but if he is still here come first day of pre-season then something is seriously wrong with their judgement.
-
I read somewhere that Edwards wanted Bruno, Klopp wanted Diaz, and we only had the funds for one that January.
-
This is on point. Losing pace is understandable, shots that he used to comfortably hit on target now flying way over the goal is very baffling.
-
Agree that we should be looking to replace him. Disagree that top four should have been minimum requirement. We started the season as favourites for the league, and we should have been challenging, especially with Man City not back to their previous best. Granted there are mitigating circumstances - Jota's passing and notable changes within the squad - but we still should be much closer to Arsenal than we currently are.
