I think that Klopp's brilliance certainly helped Edwards, but Edwards (and his team) nonetheless deserve a lot of credit. To bring up the most obvious example, it was the recruitment team that convinced Klopp to pivot and go for Salah. Another example is Edwards convincing Klopp that Virgil is worth every penny of the fee. Edwards was not brought back by FSG to lead the recruitment again, as he was no longer interested in his old job. They brought him back to run the entire football operations for them, and he brought Hughes in to lead the recruitment team.

This. Not had his best season, but no one did for Liverpool, and has consistently scored for club and country throughout his career.

I expect him to improve under Iraola. There is too much work to do, we should keep him unless a really good offer comes in.
