He was THE main difference in the second half (the introduction of Torres excepted).

 

He drove forward with energy, passed sharply, won a pen, tackled cleany, missed a header, yes....

Maxi played fantastically for 15 minutes, and was nowhere apart from that.

It is actually a shame in some ways for the lad who puts all the work into setting this thread up after every game and totting up the results that he has to wde through post after tedious post of 'Lucas is s****'/'No he isn't' every time anyone dares mentions him as a possible man of the match contender.

 

It isn't as if there aren't enough other threads where that has been/still can be discussed.

I was tempted to pick Jovanvic but in a game where nobody was scintillating I think Cole did as well as anyone.

 

Lucas wasn't in our top 5 players though.
