I too had mounting concerns about the data. The lack of Ws and increasing number of Ls especially so. So much briefing, trying to get stories straight. Fair to say Hughes sidelined. Given how much briefing Edwards seems to do, and everyone was saying Slot's staying, he was probably blindsided too. And if that's the case, who's really leading the search for the new boss - who suggested Iraola, Hoeness and Sage? Wonder if Hughes lasts the week.

Hugely important just to win that one. We could be historically good going forward once everything clicks into place, and that's clearly Slot's vision for the team. Disjointed and on the ropes at times but you sense that will improve once the new players bed in, everyone gets used to each other and the team moves on from the events of the summer. Plus Bournemouth were excellent and exposed us.
