Yes, that is the one thing that gives me pause. But it was the expensive imports -VVD, Becker - that got us over the line last year and it looks like another might be needed to overturn Man City next season. (Mea culpa if Brewster turns out to be top drawer.)

Good job we won the CL and came second in the league or else we'd need to sell to break even! FSG need to get much better at what they're doing if what you say is correct.

Evidence from their time here suggests FSG are unwilling (sorry, I don't accept that they're 'unable') to go beyond a modest net spend. Logic suggests that too - they're not sugar daddies and a Klopp-managed team is a sound business model (success with relatively little investment). I'll believe that until I see firmer evidence (than, say, Klopp's apparent acceptance of this) to the contrary - eg the arrival of a quality forward.
