Loan Signings.....

There's been some decent players being loaned out from Serie A, Ligue 1 et al. Just wondering why we seem to have only been half-linked with a move for Kenwyne Jones when other clubs (Spurs and City notably) have made some good loan deals until the end of this year.

Thought Landon Donovan was worth a punt for the short term. Eidur Gudjonnsen, who spurs have just brought in, looks well past it.

 

Haven't seen many other loan signings.

Saw that Basturk has gone to Blackburn on loan. Was surprised to see that he's only 31, and by all accounts has faded somewhat over the last few years, but I thought he was brilliant when he was at Bayer Leverkusen (now 6+ yrs ago) and I think we were linked with him at some point...

It really annoys me how a player like Bellamy or Murphy can be anonymous for years but the moment they hit some good form Rafa gets lambasted for selling them and its deemed a blunder.

 

Peter Crouch is another, Now i like Crouch and felt he got treated harshly here but it annoys me how his transfer is linked with Bellemy's as a major mistake like Rafa didn't try and keep him/offer a new contract. Infact for all the praise he's had this season he's only scored 5 league goals this season from 23 appearances while the unheralded David N'Gog has 4 league goals from 13 appearances.
