This has been the lead sports story on BBC radio all fvckin day. What next, for Mihir Bose to invetigate, and ask his sources at Chelsea, will it be that they plan to change their plastic in their flags from a polycarbonate to a high density polyethylene.

Scolari has dropped Drogba from the squad for the game tonight

 

Yeah, far better to rely on Anelka to dig in when there's unity required in the face of a challenge.

To be fair, Anelka is the league's top goalscorer, only to be benched when a disinterested Drogba got half-fit. Chelsea looked better with him up front than Drogba.

Oh I know that, he's had a third of a season of top form Anelka, when things were going right and the whole team was playing well. It wasn't going to last though, one way or another and there's still a falling out between Anelka and his team mates on the cards at some point.

I have some respect for Scolari as he is not ducking the media and his English is becoming more fractured.

 

It's not too much of a leap to imagine some of the squad imagining him like Manuel if he is dealing with personally.

 

How he will get zonal marking across in a short space to the likes of Terry and Cole, God knows.

I thought John Terry was at fault for all three goals the other day and looked very disinterested throughout the game. He has been the backbone for that team over the past 4 years. If he continues to be found out like he was Sunday, they will be back to the pre-Abramovich version of Chelsea sooner rather than later. I can see Juve knocking them out of the CL too.

I've got a hunch that he's lost a lot physically after all these back and other injuries he's been carrying and taking injections to play through
