Think it's worth starting a thread about LFC-related podcasts.

Steven Gerrard is on the latest Carra one, still listening to it but some interesting stuff about his development and where he played etc. so far:

Lots of Neco Williams chat at the beginning on Elis James' latest

listened to the Gerrard one earlier, really enjoyed it. Some really interesting stuff on it I thought, especially on his thoughts on managing us.

I also enjoyed the Bellamy one earlier.

I suppose the ”that Peter Crouch podcast” could be mentioned too. Some good stuff there as well, he still seems a genuinely nice lad.

I like Crouch but those two people with him are unbearable, the f*cking screechy laugh of the absolute bellend.

The Bellamy one was brilliant, especially the bit about Joey Barton.

Nice to hear him praising Rafa.

He did a thing Gary neville for sky going through his career that was good. He talks about rafa, being distant and hard on him etc and how he took it really personally at the time, but looking back he realises its what he needed and helped him become the player he was.

Yeah, I think Crouch is probably absolutely sound but I had enough of him ages ago really.

More Liverpool chat at the start of the Elis James podcast, w*nking over Virgil Van Dijk and some kind words about Brewster. Great quote from Danny Gabbidon when asked how it would feel to play with Van Dijk "Firstly, if I got a move to Liverpool I'd be buzzing my t*ts off."

That Crouch one, I've never listened to it but it looks so self-congratulatory that I've no interest in it at all. Probably an unfair judgement to make but there's only so much time and I've got other things I'd rather listen to.

Paul Merson on the latest Carragher one. Tells a story of when he was at Middlesbrough he was living with Gazza, they'd get back from training at 1 pm, send 5 bellies and Merson's brother out to buy loads of red wine, then play a drinking game where they'd put a load of money on the table, drink pints of red wine, and take a sleeping tablet on the hour every hour. Last one to stay awake kept the money.

I'm guessing that Merson was talking about this incident regretfully rather than it being a funny antidote

Carra asked him for a funny Gazza story.

There aren't really any funny Gazza stories. They are all pretty bleak.

The latest Carra podcast is with Michael Owen.

They mention quite a few things that I haven’t heard before, especially about Houllier and how his move back from Madrid fell through.

Worth a listen

Yeah it's great, Carra pulls no punches. I know they were raving about GH but it sounds like he more or less destroyed Owen's career because of anxiety over his job
