magneto Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 A proper week to get ready for this fixture which always promises loads of goals. We threw away a decent lead the last time at the Emirates, and the season before we won 4 - 3. Their strikers are in red-hot form but their defence is still a work in progress and something we can definitely exploit. Except for the Ox, all our players should be fit and ready for this fixture. Does Klopp bring Gomez back at RB or RCB? Front three picks itself but surely Shaqiri deserves a start alongside Gini and "another" (Fabinho/Milner). My team? AlissonTrent Gomez VVD RobboFabinho Gini ShaqiriSalah Firmino Mane

Nerik Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 In defence Gomez and Robbo back in, Lovren and Moreno out.If fit, I expect at least one of Henderson and Milner to start.
Earl Hafler Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Milner for Shaqiri and I’d have Gomez at centre half but maybe he starts at right back. Hopefully, Fabinho retains his starting place, although Arsenal are quicker than Cardiff and I think we see a 2-1 midfield, with pincer pressing from Milner and Firmino
Conrad Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 No chance that Shaqiri plays in midfield away to arsenal One or both of Henderson and Milner will startGomez and Robertson back in
Hassony Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Any chance Xhaka is starting at left back? Will be fun seeing Salah against him
McBain Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Bellerin went off as well injured so hopefully Lichsteiner will be up against Sadio
Sion Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Bellerin went off as well injured so hopefully Lichsteiner will be up against SadioHe couldn't handle Zaha. Fouled him about 3 times in the space of 5 minutes and all were snide digs worthy of a yellow
Conrad Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Are arsenal likely to play any first team players on Wednesday?
Hightown Phil Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Are arsenal likely to play any first team players on Wednesday? They’ll have to play some first team defenders cos they’ve barely got any left.
Hassony Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Just realised spurs are playing two games in 3 days this week, mad
Conrad Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 They’ll have to play some first team defenders cos they’ve barely got any left.GoodLet’s hope for extra time
Swipe Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Gini and Milner are certs, but have a feeling Hendo will go back in over Fabinho if fit.
Molby Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 if we carry on with this formation we'd be better off with Shaq in for Firmino atm not sure if it's the formation or if he's just off form - maybe a bit of both but the evidence shows that anything other than centre forward (which he plays his own way, of course) and there's a big dropthere was a passage of play on Sat when I was watching him and people were saying "what the f*** is he doing?" and basically if I had to describe it, I'd say it was him shuffling around like Balotelli and not even bothering to join the attack, as if he couldn't be bothered or was in a nark, miles away from the play and not in a situation where he had to cover for anyone who'd charged forward unheard of for him, and worrying
Hightown Phil Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 GoodLet’s hope for extra timeWould be lovely but sadly it’s not a thing any more.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Pity they're only playing Blackpool in the LC
Earl Hafler Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Just realised spurs are playing two games in 3 days this week, mad That League Cup defeat will look like a gift from Shanks next Spring

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Gini and Milner are certs, but have a feeling Hendo will go back in over Fabinho if fit. Difficult one - Fab's been our best player in each of the last 2 games in my opinion
MarkD Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Difficult one - Fab's been our best player in each of the last 2 games in my opinion He's Emre Can like speed wise and I think he will be exposed if picked as Arsenal transition forward quickly. Let him play away at RSB next week.
Hassony Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 He's Emre Can like speed wise and I think he will be exposed if picked as Arsenal transition forward quickly. Let him play away at RSB next week.Don't think he looked slow at all these last two games tbh
Hightown Phil Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Can wasn't really slow, he just accelerated like a lorry up a hill.
Conrad Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Fabinho looks more fluid in his movement than Can
Case Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 This amazing run that Arsenal have been on? Their most difficult game in the last 12 was Watford at the Emirates. Watford. At home. Yep. They’re back.
Hightown Phil Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 This amazing run that Arsenal have been on? Their most difficult game in the last 12 was Watford at the Emirates. Watford. At home. Yep. They’re back. Never seen a run quite like it. Continually in a situation where they should have been 2 down and then managing to finish pretty much every chance they get. 21 shots on target in their last six games and they've got 16 points from it. We've got 14 points from our last six and we've had 31 and played three of the expected top five. Ridiculous.
