It struck me today that 9/11 is closer to 1980 than the present day, and I remember thinking at the time that we'll be living with the fallout from this for 25 years. Based on current events I'm revising that upwards, and feeling pretty down about it. 

Seems like if 9/11 was in the gulag it would be fine by now.

Yeah - have always felt that 9/11 was a shock that the West never got over.

But, in terms of both now and the future - make no mistake - this is all about climate breakdown and I am thinking particularly of the Right when I say this.
